Leaving work today and I stared this lady down as she proceeded to walk straight at me, resulting in either me stepping off the sidewalk into a rope or bucking her over. I let her pass. 10 more people did the same thing. All women. Meanwhile this is a crowd of literally 100ppl walking 4-5 people wide yet they can't make room for a single person lane in the opposite way. Fuck anyone who does this. Same goes for regular sidewalks. You don't need to be 3 women wide. Chicks do this way more than guys.

And can't stand overly nice people trying to one up each other and delaying my movements. Like just fucking go and get out of my way. Trying to go home.

CLQIf you are actually curious it's because dog poop has lots of really harmful bacteria in it. That bacteria can get people sick and even get into the ground water. It's also why horse poop doesn't smell all to bad but dog shit smells terrible.

toastYeah, and think about a horse diet then a dog diet. Horses are shitting out grass and straw. Dogs are shitting out factory-manufactured kibble with random ass ingredients.



Couple more reasons -

Historically many trails were built for horseback travel, so they kind of are grandfathered in, even on new trails. There are a number of groups like Backcountry Horsemen who volunteer to do trailwork clearing and restoring trails.

Horses are basically restricted to trails, dogs go wherever the fuck they want. As far as environmental impact it's a lot more harmful having a couple dogs run around off into the forest than it is to have tons of horses tearing apart an already established trail path.

idk even how to ride a horse but saying "horse people don't want dogs or anyone out in the way of their horse riding" is dumb and ignorant, they just want to be able to recreate on public land in their preferred way, they're not actively trying to keep people out. Not to mention plenty of people riding horses/stock crews will sometimes also have a dog as part of their crew, lots of them like Aussies and other shepherd dogs.

Titus69True, I’ve even been looking at auction sites lately to see if there’s a golden deal, I’ve found a few that would probably be worth it (‘05s with 200ish k miles $9-12k) but yeah in slc everyone wants them so they’re stupid expensive, even a 2001 double cab v6 with 240k is as much as the 05 version with just under 200k. Looking at frontiers and other subs for a Toyota but I’ll look at other states too, won’t have a big budget but would like to finally put a down payment on a decent car and let my ‘01 crv fly free.

Titus69Not at a point where that makes sense for me yet, if I could keep my car going nicely for another year sure I’d save for a brand new one but with the options you want it’s gonna be over $25k, brand new at least. I’d like to get one that’s 10 years old at least, there’s some decent options with 4wd, toppers and double cab but gonna keep looking. The 4x4 v6 rangers are pretty damn good I guess too and I’ve found some with less miles than tacos for a similar price.

Titus69Hmm, I am trying to go newer than my current car (2001) but idk if that truck was ever really changed often throughout production. Tbh how has it been? I hear they go forever but I also wonder how good the 4wd is.

If I can’t find any decent local options in the next few months could be interested, maybe pm some info and pics but still need time to save and figure it out, would have to fly to Portland too.

OregonDeadyeah I kinda don't think they changed much that entire generation of ranger/ b3000. I have the stock 4wd, it was an off road edition, and yeah it has it's issues but I had all the hoses for it redone about a year ago. I think if someone was going to really do serious off roading they would probably just redo the hubs and put on ones that you lock manually so you wouldn't have a chance of messing up the auto system and having a failure. stock system lasted a long time though and then it seemed like it was just plastic fatigue in the hoses that caused the leak. I only have like 109000 and I am the 2nd owner
I am with you I want something newer though. I have an old forester and I will probably end up driving that until it dies. Love driving a truck but it totally sucks on gas especially when I end up driving up to the mountains so much.

I have multiple pairs of these for work pants. They last years and are made for skinny people but dont fit huge like most work pants. Also stretch a good bit.

mystery3I too have a pair of these. I ordered a few different styles of carhartt work pants in "straight fit" from Sierra.com a while ago, they are seconds but the quality is great just some minor stitching defects. Some fit better than others and those I didn't like I sent back.

I used to wear Riggs workwear overalls for years, they're much lighter material and slimmer fitting than carhartts, prior to that I wore dickie's 874 workouts $17 at walmart.
