Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

This is nothing compared to some other people’s problems, but online school is the absolute worst. I pretty much hate all my classes and the only way I get stuff done is if I’m physically at school. But otherwise I have no motivation to do anything and my late work is getting so backed up. But on the bright side teachers aren’t allowed to penalize late work so I’m still pulling off a 3.7 gpa or something

The couple who had my room for the summer stops over sometimes. Pretty dope considering they've done no quarantining, drive to utah to buy a dog(from tahoe) and he said last night that the numbers aren't real and it's made up(regarding the death toll)

My belly button is infected. I have a fever because I have an infection. Due to COVID we have to have our temperature taken every morning. If we have a fever we cannot work. We can’t even enter the building.


Soooooooo now I’m in a situation where I probably won’t be allowed to work because I have a fever but it’s not COVID/respiratory related. My belly button is just fucked. And they can’t make exceptions. I’m super fucking pissed. Gonna take Tylenol to try to reduce the fever but probs not gonna be allowed to work even though I’m 100% okay to.

Are you fucking kidding me??? My parents have been renting with the same landlord for 6 years now and take amazing care of the house. My mom got furloughed because of Corona and my dad has had an 80% reduction in income, and the landlord has THE FUCKING AUDACITY to call my mom today and try to raise our rent because our current lease is up for renewal this month. Luckily my mom basically told him to fuck off and said they would move out if he tried to raise rent and he backed down and said we could keep the same rate for at least 6 months. Like come on dude how tone deaf can you be it's a fucking pandemic jesus christ

A landlord in park city gave a free month to tenants, at some nice apartments of course. We asked for a slight drop in exchange for work on the house and our landlord, who’s fairly chill decided to not even help us for one month, a few college kids and myself who’s not working atm.

Well my super cool Salomon shifts have decided to fuck me, toe won’t stay locked, tried to just clean em dry with a brush to knock any dirt or gunk off but nope now I can’t even get the lever on the toe to stay upright at all. Things marketed towards beaters anyway, I’m getting on the kingpin/cast train from here on.

Dude I’ll take massholes any day over Utah drivers, pretty sure they’re rated as the worst in the country and I see why. Sudden lane changes on open highway, go under the limit, obliviously merge into your lane within 10” of your bumper (he got honked at by about 5 other cars) and just be generally unaware drivers. I’m not the best for sure but damn watching what they do for a driving test for teens is not what I had to do for sure.

My driving strategy in Utah is as such:

Drive slightly faster than speed of traffic in the lefthand lane. Mitigates risk of being merged into and if there is a left lane sitter go around them, don't tailgate. But yes, they are imbeciles here

I fucking hate accelerated nursing programs, especially at MSU, because they turn out shit nurses, since they try and find any and every loophole for their students. No Karen, your college algebra class from 26 years ago is not acceptable for a chemistry prerequisite. I get you took it, but the course is a foundation for a reason. Take the MPLEX and test out if you’re that confident. Every single student we have waived it for had gotten no higher than a “C” in the course.

I withdrew from a class this semester and submitted my intent to withdraw form to my advisor for his signature and I swear he said on Zoom that was all I needed to do. Now he's saying I should have submitted it to the deans office without his signature on it which makes no sense at all and the deadline to withdraw has already passed. I thought I was withdrawn from the class so I didn;t take the final or do any of the projects or homeworks after I sent him the form so now I have a 40 in the class. I'm absolutely pissed

Please speak to your department coordinator and/or your deans office. Hopefully you have evidence in writing, but I delt with a similar situation and was able to work it out with our registrar. PM me if you need help, I don't work at your uni, but run a program at mine.

Yeah, and thanks, I sent them an email with the email that I originally sent the form to my advisor attached to it, now I'm just waiting to hear back. It sucks not being able to go to the office and just straightening this out so it's just gonna stress me out until it does.

New roommate moving in. Stoked because they were moving in on the 1st, but now it's tomorrow.

Roommate was like "gotta clean this cabinet out and stuff before she comes" like nk shit got 2 weeks. Oh shes coming in the morning? Thanks for telling me.

She insists she told me, but for once I actually know she didn't and I didnt forget. One because I would have been to salty to forget, and I 100% would have messagedmy buddy to bitxh about it the second she told me.

Thanks for keeping me in the loop. I'm sure she'll suck about rent too but Im going to see if the rent is dropping. At least for this month her bf paid for may, this chicks moving in fir half of may, so we have 4 roommates living in in a 3 br setup paying rent for 2 weeks. And if he's going to continue to live here i want a deal.

Fuck even 20 bucks. It's the principle more than the money.

But i doubt it because me and roommie that passed each out in 125 for snow removal then she charged her "friend" downstairs neighbore 250 that doesnt even have a car. Snow removal was 500. See how this works. Charge your friends for shit so you don't have to pay.

I don't want to make things to awkward since i have to live here 100 percent of the time but I'm going to bring it up and mention the snow removal if needed.

Idk i just hate people that try to take advantage of people.

Also i gave her a mask design(she startes selling masks) and it's been massively the top seller and shes prolly made at least 500 if not 1000-1500 just off the one i sent her. So i feel pretty okay with enquiring about a small discount on rent.


And living with an ultra co dependent couple fucking blows. Even before he moved in he was here all the time and it kinda sucked. They take uo all the space. It became less like I lived here and more like i was staying at their house kinda vibe. Fuck that I pay rent.

Idk as mentioned in the 100000000 plus other posts im done with roommate life. Might live with 1 singular roommate in the future but mostly just looking for studios next season. I need my space and some fucking queit and getting that with roommates doesn't seem that wikd to ask for but at least in my experience has proven impossble.

Yeah free rent forever. Im just gonna start inviting rando people over without saying anything. And just take up as much space as possible and play music 24 7.

Hopefully the next 2.5 months won't be too bad. Idk could be worse but never been a big fan of dealing with people that don't respect the people aeound them. Especially in a living situation.

Hopefully I can find a decent jerb at some point this summer and def looking forward to a road trip to visit friends when this all mellows out.

At least I got out of debt this winter, and I have a decent enough spot to live other than roomie issues. Skating the mini has been clutch the last week. So with that and the geetar it aint so bad. I wish i had a video game console still.

Idk def will be stoked when life returns to normal though. Even if I am stuck in Murica for the summer.

God my patient is breaking my heart. Yesterday she suddenly declined, like really declined. She had a family visit but it was through the window. I held the phone up to her while they talked to each other. She was fully aware and able to speak to them which was good - a lot of our patients have been full coma at this stage and can’t say goodbye. But holy fuck no lifetime movie nor chick flick could have prepared me to be there while she said her goodbyes and them say theirs. Fuck that killed me. I ruined my n95 mask with cry snot and tears lol.


Today I sat with her for a good bit of my shift. She was struggling so much - all of her muscles were desperately trying to pull air in. Her bed jerked to the rhythm of her breaths, that’s how hard she was gasping. She is drowning in her own lungs and somehow still hanging on.

As someone with pretty gnarly asthma I felt every breath she took. Never experienced anything as gnarly as her but I know how it feels and it is a w f u l. And she’s going through that x100 on her death bed without her family. I told her how much her family and we all loved her before I left. I almost don’t want her to be there when I get in tomorrow. She needs to pass and go to heaven to take a deep ass breath of air(she believes in heaven so we joked that that would be the first thing she does when she gets there lol). But yeah she is fully suffering and it’s not particularly fun to stand by and watch but I’ll get up in the morning and do it all again I guess.

HIPAA covers any and all individually identifiable health information for example photos, name, SS number, dob, age, address, etc. Mostly demographic info and specific health info(diagnosis, treatment, etc) . You can absolutely discuss general cases so long as the patient can’t be identified. It’s a super serious violation, I wouldn’t put myself in that situation.

My landlord is great, management company is shit

They gave me a cleaning list, and I can clean with the best of them. They are trying to fuck me out of my security deposit even after I did a walkthrough, showed them how I made the place spotless and they're saying things like, "The ceramic needs to be at least this shade of white and going around with a black light trying to find I missed a spot on the wall with the degreaser.

Freaked out a bit at roommate cause she tried to give away my one freezer shelf, that already gets other peoples shit in it. I had 2 shelves when frank died, she had the doors and like 3 shelves. Got reduced to one, and half the time there's other shit on it. I was like fuck no I'm not giving that up. There's an outdoor chest freezer we split, but I'm not, not keeping some shit inside fuck that. Why don't you give her one of your shelves.

Just cause at points I was too poor to buy food for a little while. That's like if I didn't have furniture in every space of my room, so store some shit in there.

Idk fuck that. Some people are really good at trying to push for what they want, but bad about taking anything the other way.

My fridge shelf has been in a similar state, whenever I fully reup on groceries I have to keep fighting to rehouse the bullshit on my shelf that isn't mine. I don't wanna have to feel like I'm constantly fighting for space it gives me fucking anxiety.

If somebody had something that didn't fit and chucked it on my shelf, I wouldn't give a fuck. Who cares. But when you systematically try and take over space that's bullshit. Other people matter get fucked. Just one of the many reasons I've been ready to get the fuck out since the fall.


On the plus my CC's are completely paid off, I have a ramp to skate, a guitar to play, some meh but uncrowded trails to hike and a decent view. could be worse. It's just nice when you can at least relax a little more at home, especially in this situation.

On the plus her bf might move out which will free up some space, even though hes' cool. But he'll prolly be here all the time anyway. And since new roommie moved in, old roommie has been working in her room occasionally actually. Hoping that continues because it's kind of bullshit to tie up the living room with loud af shitty edm music, or blasting tvshows without even watching them. It's a common space, fucking work in it who cares, but if you're going to dominate the vibes and play shitty loud music so that nobody else can chill, go to your damn room and do it there. NBD.

less than 2.5 months till my planned road trip now though. So pretty excited for that. Hoping to be able to make the best of the remaining time here regardless. And in spite of how pissed of this living situation makes me it's been almost 3 weeks of not drinking. Not stopping but just felt like taking a break from it for a little while. And when the weather chills and I can skate again that'll be nice.

She got pissed and dipped. But fuck her, she was being a bitch. Glad I stood up on it. I'm not good at it sometimes, I hate confrontation, and people, and confrontations with people. Some people will take up all the space, and walk all over you if you don't tell them to get fucked once in a while. even if they get salty and pout about it it needs to be said.

Also funny the people that are most opinionated, wanting everyone to do this or that etc, can't take anyone saying no, telling them to do something, or telling them to fuck off.

This lady is making a recovery somehow and the first thing she asks me at 6:07am is “how long is it gonna take?” As in to die and I jokingly said idk babe you seem to be hanging tough. And she gave me this smile/laughed combo like “yeah, I know.” She’s miraculously on like several liters less of oxygen, mouth breathing with a nasal cannula on(? 😂) and doing 30x better. Not doing great yet but holy hell this woman was knocking on deaths door two days ago.

I’m glad she is doing better but what a fucking rollercoaster man! This woman has always and is always gonna drive me nuts but that’s okay hahahaha

MinggAlso I am 100% COVID positive - cleared by the health department to cease isolation and go into public/back to work but I am essentially reinfecting myself daily at work. Def sounds like a good idea to completely infect 2 units in 2 different buildings. Also can't get lysol for the life of me and bleach wipes can't be used on all surfaces - alcohol wipes are only mildly effective and only reaches a percentage of surfaces. Lysol is significantly better. Thx to the people hoarding supplies. A fucking plus to you. I hope your 18 cans of lysol and incorrectly worn n95's are treatin you right.

dude! did you have symptoms? I tested positive for the antibodies, which meant I had it at some point.... But my only symptom was a cough........
how long did it take for you to be cleared?
