Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

I feel for you. I'm terrible at explaining my work. I often send my answer with an explanation as to how I got it because that's really the only way that I can fully explain the question/answer/concepts. I honestly would assume people would use that to write their own answers but obviously that didn't happen here. I don't know if your friend had any bad intentions towards you, but I hope he learned a thing or two in all this. I hope it doesn't stop you from being a helpful person and I'm really glad to hear you didn't get expelled or anything. Obviously it's a shitty situation all around but I hope you can make the best of it and not let it define your degree. I really believe it was an honest mistake. Who cares if it's on your permanent record - your future employer isn't gonna see it and you'll have something worthy of mentioning in interviews when they ask how you have overcome challenges/what you learned from them.

my trans cousin just posted like 8 Insta stories saying it was transist and fucked up for straight people to not want to date or have sex with trans people. Like what? what kind of logic is that? Is it homophobic of me to not want to fuck guys? Are we going to shit on gay men for not wanting to fuck girls? The argument makes no sense at all.

I don't give a fuck if somebody wants to be trans personally, but don't pretend to be victimized because a straight man/woman doesn't want to have sex with you. Its sexual preference, and forcing people to feel bad for not wanting to fuck a trans person is beyond any logic.

uhhhhhhhhh is Alterra just doing damage control from this past season with their ikon pass offerings in the future or is there a bigger picture we're missing? Like i saw a post yesterday saying you got the option to defer your pass to the 21/22 season......

Its not that big of a stretch especially considering that ski resorts were partly responsible for spreading the virus all over Europe.

Oh I never said I don't care about the topic. I could go on a rant. I won't. If someone is an adult they can do whatever they want. That is their prerogative. However if they expect me to remember how to address them properly, and when one missteps they are hit with criticism, I don't care to make the extra effort to please that mentality. Did you know they don't always want to be called a she/he, some want to be called they/their pronouns--and that's a very simplified version of pronoun usage in transgender lingo. How tf are you supposed to keep track. Unless I have to do it by law or work regulations, I don't care to take the extra effort. It's also instinctive to refer to someone as their biological gender. I've caught myself mid sentence in too many situations where it mattered saying "he" or "that guy" only having to correct myself.

Curious why you're trying to argue with me? Does this affect you personally?

fuck me I think I had enough lessons in patietence when I was all laid up last summer. almost worse now because I am totally healthy and conditions are probably good up there. at least the clouds came in today so I don't have to look at Mt. Hood for a little bit. F

Sitting in my room drinking scotch and eating pizza. I think I hate people or at least living with people. This whole isolation thing has me wishing I was actually isolated from people.



Idk. Got a guitar and i play that for hours a day. Also made progress on a skate qp for the driveway todaym hopefully woll fonish it tomorrow but honestly wanna gtfo of california. Hoping but honestly idk if ill care, but hoping for june 1st. If I can't leave by then Ill prolly fucking leave anyway.

I need a change of fucking scene and some space. Maybe ill buy a tent and just live in the woods for a whole. Idk. Sucks in terms of food storage though..

Idk. I just wanna get the fuck out asap. Another month is all I have in me. Begining of june im on the road for somewhere. Idk, i dont care, Im fucking out of here

Yeah it is closed. All of Mt. Hood National Forest is closed for recreation. Who knows about summer. It seems questionable, the way things are going I wouldn’t place any bets on it

That's the worst. When you wash a dish to use, then wash it again when you're done, and its nasty the next time you need it. When I lived in NZ a while back with theae Austrian guys it got gnar. I bought my own silverware and kept a plate and that in my cupboard. I got sick of a fucked sink or almost worse picking up plates that felt like theyd been runned in bacon grease from the rack.

Luckily my roommates are at least pretty clean. They won't pick up their dkgs shit ever etc, but they at least do the dishes.

Well we have a dishwasher. Issure with that is if tou have sonething and set it in the sink, give it a fucking rinse. Even a splash of water. Too much shit goes in the dishwasher with gnar shit stuxk to it, and since the dishes are "clean" goes in the rack.


Always fun pulling put plates with cheese or whatever stuck to it. I just wash my stuff in the sink as I use it so at least I dont contibute to the shitshow.

Idk. Good luck though. That sounds fucked.

Damn, I think windells should just call it off soon too, no reason to have so many kids flying in from random parts of the world right now. My friends homie who works at Mammoth thought they’d open back up in a month or so but rails just came out so likely no go for anyone. Thank god for the uphill side of skiing.

Neighbors house burned pretty severly. Invited buddy over to help me finish my ramp we were just starting in with the framing and smoke statted coming out of neighbirs garage.

Tried to get it out with extinguisher but was too small. Usually mad people out on their decks or yards whenever i go for walks but nobody for a while. Luckily found another other but by the time i ran all the way back shit was too gnar to go near or for something that small to do anything. Sucks because it was knocked down pretty significantly after the first one. If there was another one handy or if itd been bigger.

Obviously shoulda couoda wouldas. Hindsight is 20/20 and 2020 fucking sucks so far. No guarantees it woukd have stayed out even at that point.

Actually almost bought another small extinguisher for the car a few days ago but they were too expensive at ace like everything else.

Def putting two in the or a medium sized one from now on.

Also a breeze picked up off the lake right after they got it down. Shit was minutes from taking the whole structure and going for the trees next to or. Our neighborhood is in the forest and California is pretty much a tinder box.

They actually saved the structure somehow. The size of the flames coming out and the heat in our driveway was so fucking intense. It took a long time or at least seemed like a long time for the fire dept to get here. But at least they rolled deep. I think they got several reports other than ours and knew all hands were on deck. They did a good job "saving" it. It's gonna be a bitch to gut it and rebuild it but at keast theirs something to rebuild and them and the dogs are safe.

They're a really nice couple too. I feel so bad. He was in rough shape. Talked to him for a while about anything and everything other than what just happened. Idk.

2020 sucks hard. Hoping the rest if the year is boring af.

Also shoutout to the douchebag bicycle tourists from the main road yelling "your house is on fire" when were clearly on the phone caling 911 and getting people the fuck out of the house. Then just sat and filmed.

I think I was in a pissed off mood at best anyway, and people are linda shitty like that in general, but it still bothered me.

Yes we know the fucking hoise is on fire. Did the giant flsmes cue you in? Maybe the people running around frantically in the driveway and around the house indicates we fucking already established that and are trying to get people the fuck out.

Shit went up so fast. Fire is fucking scary. Ill shut up now. Today just really jumbled my already fragile emorions and got me super worked up.

My buddy and I eventually framed out my ramp several hours later but a non stop stream of traffic from the neighborhood checking things out and asking questions about the fire etc kept it fresh. I get it. Everyone's curious. People aren't necessarily bad.

The electrical closing the garage door behind me scared the fuck out of me. I thoufh my buddy hit the button at first. Then realized that shit was just going haywire. Ahut popping flames just growing. By the time everyonw was out and it was too big to fuck with we just had to sit there and watch it.

At least Iliving here I was able to give them a place chill out and beverages. Just kinda broughr out a bunch of water and beer for anyone and everyone.

I already had a beer open anyway begore it started but plenty of people were like yeah fuck this i need a beer. Absolutely can not blame them.

Like wtf. Shit happens but damn. This end of the street needs to become boring as fuck again soon.

Hoping my lungs chill out too. Pretty gnar corona lung from the garage. Could be worse but def been hacking a bit.

Idk ill shut up. Im just trying to process my thoughts and fogured out wtf happend, where things are at and shit. Writing them out always helps me a bit so that's what im doing.

Idk hope you are all well. Out there.

My best friend is moving back East soon and I’m sad but kinda pissed. Kid has roasted our hometown since high school saying he’ll never leave the west coast cause it’s the best skiing and opportunity for a film major, now he’s trying to basically work in an office in Boston and be an old man. Idk his best friends and I think better opportunity is out here or is at least to early to leave this place or just the region for such a mediocre place. Idk seems like his parents are influencing him to be more of an adult but deep down I know he knows he should stay here longer.

Yeah he knows all of us aren’t hyped, we all came out around the same time but he’s the first one out. He’ll find better work back home, SLCs not the place for a hardo liberal, Boston will serve him well which I’m happy about. I just assume when we get dumped on in November and it’s raining there he’ll be bummed looking at the touring gear he’s used once, plus the friends he has here are some of his best and living with your parents far from your homies is a reason I moved here, granted other friends are moved back home by now. Idk he grew up to fast, rarely hung with the boys after we moved out of our house last year, he’s like an old man now, we’ve told him for a while now all this too.

I'll update since I've had some time to chill.

Home owner stopped by to give me my shies back. Went with him to the place he was staying. Couldnt find him but we talked a nit more. Told him not to sweat it. Him and the lady that hes staying with stopped by later because they found them. Sat over there with him for a while chatting about mostly things totally unrelated to yesterday.

He wanted to give me a tour. I was down just to see it and chatting to him he seemed to emjoy. But the house raised my spirits a lot as crazy as that sounds. The garage is in rough shape, the 2 cars and the first deck are toast. The first floor above it is rough but not terrible. Smoke damage but not much water damage and relatively intacr. Farther back and the upper floors are clean, smoke free, and good to go other than not having utilities connected atm.

Super glad that they really will be able to mive back in soon, and the fire was scary, the process of rebuilding likely painful, but the house is still there and they're alright.

I was really bummed out about things yesterday. But seeing that it more than salvageable is awesome. The way the front was burning it absolutley did not look like that wouod be the case. Salvageable yes but far more damaged
Hoping their insurance is seamless and they can get to rebuilding asap.

Just got out of my final online zoom lecture for college. Engineering should not be taught online... that is all I can say. All of my profs have been chill at least and have made efforts to decrease our stress. I just don't know what to do with myself rn. I have a crappy summer job that I landed after my dream job internship got cancelled. I had to take a 50% pay cut too.

Nice to see there’s still people like you who would try to put it out, invite the folks in to sit, and give them a beer. Most would go straight for the smart phone and start filming their next door neighbors losing everything.

not really hurting, just felt like there was constant shit in my lungs like you had to cough up a loogie that would never come up so i was hacking stuff up for the past few days, feeling better now. never felt that before with carts even during the scare over the summer/fall. Not to mention the cartrdige was semi broken or came semi-broken, the mouthpiece was loose and coming off so i think an air bubble or saliva or something got in there, not fun
