nutz.At our uni and a lot of my friend's unis this is the official policy:
"Peer teaching and peer learning are important and effective study strategies for students. However, giving a completed assignment to a friend is not peer teaching and copying answers is not peer learning. Unintentionally or otherwise, the student who passed on the assignment enabled cheating to occur, and has therefore committed a violation."
Usually results in a zero for first offense and expulsion the next.
Pretty much what mine says as well. While I was deceived I can't really get out of it, as what I did was outlined in the codebook.
Sucks because it happens literally all the time. Like every student I know does it and the professors all know it....they don't care and turn an eye until something like this happens.
I just can't comprehend how on Earth he thought he wouldn't get caught doing it. Like it's word for word ....did he think a professor in a master's program wasn't going to read through it? He is one of the most thorough grading professors I've had.
The professor understands what happened as we both explained, but his hands are tied pretty much. Sucks, but I'm still at uni so I guess that's good.
