Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

As someone who has worked in banks for 3 years, this is nothing new unfortunately
TnskiThe dumbest thing happened today I was checking my checking account online an got charged 10 bucks for a "returned statement handling charge" so I call the dumb bank and she asked for my ss number and address. So she says the charge is because a returned statement handling charge because the statement got returned from my very old p.o. box that has been closed for years. WTF they obviously have my mailing address so I says give me my ten bucks back or I'm transferring my money to another bank so after a bunch of verbalalage a didn't understand cause of her strong accent she says she'll refund the ten bucks. Then I check the mail box and a bank statement from that bank.

Bank of the West does the same Nicole and dime garbage. They used to be a "mid-size" bank with small towny kind of roots and then they got bought by BNP Paribas. I used to have like six different accounts there and now I just have a mortgage and a zombie checking account to fund the mortgage because I get a rate discount for the direct debit or whatever.

Yeah, thanks for the advice. The rate is 3.25 with the quarter point discount for having the payment automatically drafted from a BOTW checking account. We're also 10+ years into the loan and the property is currently listed so with any luck we'll be able to terminate the relationship with them in the next few weeks or months.

Everything else is consolidated with Morgan Stanley and things there seem better from a service and fee standpoint.

Posted in here in January about my roommate dying. We heard bad things about the coroner, it sounded like they half assed the initial autopsy anyway. It was ruled inconclusive and then we were waiting on toxicology. It seemed like the staff was just trying to say, maybe he had some trace amount of coke in his system rule it an OD and move on. Either he had nothing they could find or it was so obvious that it wasn't an OD. Nothing about drugs was mentioned. Probably because there weren't even trace amounts or not enough for anything. Dude wasn't partying at all right then, he was sick af.

Anyway Viral Pneumonia, and a gnarly bacterial infection. Not sure what the wording was on the infection but it sounded pretty intense. A mutual friend and doctor who's been dealing with the covid situation things there more than a good chance that's what it was. They're trying to see if there's any specimens that can be tested. He was cremated and he's sitting over the fire place so can't test him now Obviously nobody was testing for covid back then. Although who knows, as we didn't get sick. He was locked down to his room anyway cause of how he was feeling and we sanitized the fuck out of the house after. Who knows.

I'm just happy he didn't get stuck with it being labeled as a bullshit OD. Especially for his dad and cousins. Would be shitty to get some bullshit cause of death and that's what you're left with.

He got out at a good time though. Dude loved to ski eveyday and watch live music several nights a week. The mountains being closed and the venues being shut would have pissed him off. RIP

A lil high strung today maybe idk. Laptop has been fucked since last summer. But I'm a poor ski industry slave so been trying to pay off medical and cc debt and stuff. Laptop is being total pile if trash more than usual. Actuall last 6 months it's been barely usable. Wont connect to mouse either which is super dope.

Just want to make a 3d model of mini ramp I'm building to figure out materials and space. Also would like to transfer data before I go office space on said laptop which could happen at any time.

Luckily some weed, chicken nuggets l, and sipping whiskey has calmed me down a bit. At any point post about laptop getting murdered is coming though.

Sobbing on the bathtub floor jamming out to music and my boyfriend comes in and turns it down. Thought he had to pee so I told him he could turn it off but then he just...left? Asked him what the fuck was up and guess I was just being too loud. So didn't really get to finish my pitty party and now I want ice cream but can't go get any so here we are. This is what I imagine is the female, blue ball equivalent. Which means I am allowed to be mad hahahahahaha.

I caught a pebble right by my eye from a dude weed whacking on a busy rotary with my window down. I likely would have lost a fight vs some MS 13 public utility worker so did nothing but was heated.

A moderately priced pure bred dog.

I bought a dog 1.5 years ago, but it was from a friend and the cost basically just covered the vet visits, vaccines, dew claws. She's a lab, great dog. I know there are great groups doing great rescue work but all that was available for quite a long time in our area were pitbulls, chihuahuas, and pitbull/chihuahua mixes. My dog is a family dog, I have small kids and I'm not a gambling man.

That said why the fuck are there so many intact neglected dogs running around breeding all the time? Why can't people just be responsible?

Why does msp have to slow down every single park shot? Why have a park shoot if you're just gonna ruin it by glacially slowing everything down from takeoff to landing so you've forgotten the start of the trick before they finish and you can't even appreciate it? It's edited like someone who's only exposure to park skiing is a few magazine covers and can't even name the tricks they're seeing. I mean, I'm there for the big mountain segs, which are great, but I will never for the life of me understand how every shot of the park has to be slo mo

I just went in my room and put on music because neighbir from downstairs, roommate and roommates friend(at a distance) were talking at bar volume about corona and conspiracies.

I'm like fuck this. If you wanna read about it nin stop go for it but can people just shut the fuck up about it once in a while. Im clean as fuck i dont go out, everything here gets an ocd whipedown. I just don't wanna hear about corona non stop while I'm stuck in quarantine.

I’m stuck living in this basement for two more months while having to practice social isolation and it really blows. I’m happy to FaceTime my friends but i just want to go to Bridger brewing and grab a beer. Also jack is moving and he’s making it much harder than it has to be, i wish he’d just leave already.

It's really cuz I haven't been drinking water at work cuz we are on a skeleton crew to minimize contact with each other. No time. Can't take Metamucil any more cuz I have a stricture in my small intestine and metamucil could risk a perforation (deadly). Sad :( cuz it makes your poops so good.

Kinda sucks someone in MT is expected to act like someone in NYC. That said if a bar near you was allowed to open its outdoor patio it would be nuts to butts and even if they limited capacity people would queue around the block to get in.


Waking up and doing something outside and coming home from something is key. Take advantage of long days and cheap gas I haven’t been getting out of bed until 2 so it’s dark by the time I’m home and showered. Food places closing early has been a bitch.


I probably live in as bad a direct hot spot as anyone my convenience store 50 yards from my house is closed and those Arabic dudes were coughing. Bet it’s going around the projects. Still tho if I don’t lick doorknobs I’m fine. Wish I could get takeout from the place next to that store but everyone who works there makes 5 trips a day to eastern market to buy scratch tickets.

stuck in a rural area myself with similar orders in terms of "stay at home" and while yeah it does fucking suck, i think that areas like this taking the same drastic measures as cities are will really keep those numbers down, like Utah as a whole, if we keep doing a good job with the social distancing stuff, wont have as many casualties as they once projected with how bad its getting, so thats good. NYC is a good example of what happens when it gets bad and how quickly it happens because they began their social distancing stuff way too late

I mean, I get it. My county (and probably town) has the most cases in MT right now. Still annoying. We're pretty sure I had it last month. Weirdest flu/cols I've ever had, all my flu tests came up negative but they weren't testing younger adults at that time. I'm trying to go even for a shirt walk and that seems to be helping. That sounds too sketch to get food from.
