Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

Well at least the rant thread has shifted from Disney/incontinence to Tinder/Vail incompetence.

I better be able to pick up my dang pass within 2 days of showing my ID to HR to offically be part of the boot pack program at CB. Was thinking of kicking the tires on employee housing cause why not dorm living in college is fun and I'd qualify but that might be stupid AF and a bad rabbit hole to go down.

Need to get my motivation together to talk to the companies I want to represent and work on my hard ass autoCAD training and certifications. I don't even want to use it and be a 'faux' engineer (they call drafters engineers in my industry) but it is good to have. IDK if I can do it though skiing 150 days is priority #1.

If there's a problem you had with an employee or service or whatever, I think that should always be brought up to managers or owners even though they do read/deal with bad reviews, But writing someones name and outing the employees that fucked up or had a bad day at work or whatever is pretty shitty in my opinion. "Hey guys, this person is BAD at their job and you all need to know about it". Grow the fuck up, no ones breathing down your neck like that at your shitty cubicle HR department you work in Karen.

Life isn’t a Disney tail and sadly your problems won’t vanish. But I bet they suck less in the mountains. You got homies send it West leave tomorrow or next day (still November) and get a full season.

Dont underestimate yourself when you show up in Utah you’ll have jobs within minutes etc this is when they’re hiring it’s gonna work out.

Shit sounds bad we’re you are can’t be worse just do it one way or another I’m sure you will be very happy to be skiing powder everyday.

Had it happen to me tonight, kids say how they miss seein me while they’re at school, finally get to see the kids I grew up with during break. Make plans with everyone,then ditch me last minute and don’t respond to my texts. And then post shit on Snapchat of them all doin shit and act like I don’t even see it. What’s the point of including me in plans from the beginning if your just gonna end up bluffing on me? Idec if I sound like a bitch shit is so annoying

Love snowbirds terrain, dont get me wrong. Love skiing there and will continue to do so, but they gotta get a grip on how they operate this resort. I dont mean to still be salty about the passholder deactivation debacle yesterday but its not the first time they had a fuck up like this and theyre starting to have a little bit of a track record for it. Pass office staff wasn't really too helpful about this ordeal either. Not a ton of information was passed onto people. Still was able to ski, had a great day, but kinda felt like they totally blew off passholders this weekend.

Whatever. I get some locals are crusty shitheads with no respect but some of us work pretty damn hard to spend some time up there and spend a bit of money to do so now that passes aren't cheap, i dont really like how resorts treat locals when this kind of shit happens.

I’m not sure there is a business anywhere on earth with less incentive to provide good CS than AltaBird lift serviced skiing that has as good terrain and snow as anywhere 30 mins from a major city/airport.

Glad you got your pass. When picking up nine at Monarch I avoided a 10 deep line by 5 minutes. Lady was super sweet and talked about my college stuff. But I drove up on a spare tire had no time to spare only did 1 run so I could get my new used tires sorted that day (got to the place with a line before there lunch break so no option to wait and get pass later) basically there’s a good chance I throw a fit and make a scene and cops get called if I was 5 mins later. Only one person on opening day working it was pretty bad.

Alta for me today. I saw the tram was running and loading people which was rad. Could have sworn someone said that Regulator slid down pretty badly and wasnt gonna open so thats cool.

I hate the recent wave of Avocados being in everything. It's great in that they're dope and stuff but I'm allergic. Just had some ham that a friend made, couldn't eat the eggs that came with it but even having it having been with the eggs on a plate my throats a little scratchy. Not horrible but not fun. When I accidentally eat avo it's even more fucked.

Sucked living in souther africa, there was avo everywhere. Also love mexican food and once in a while accidentally eat some.

Lucky nothing gnarly, wont kill me, but not very fun.

If you can eat avos enjoy. They're good

Being allergic to random foods is annoying. I'm allergic to mushrooms. Had a couple of pretty gnarly reactions many years ago but have managed to avoid them for the most part.

Fortunately both mushrooms and 'cados are expensive so restaurants usually note their usage on the menu but unfortunately both of them can blend in sometimes and don't always have a super noticeable flavor.

Why the fuck do ski shops here suck so bad!? I got an edge tune, belt and stone grind and specifically asked for them not to wax so that I could check their work. Bases were pretty fucking hairy except for a few spots that had decent structure and smoothness from the stone grind.
I was gonna call them out on it, but the shop techs were all circlejerking with the Atomic rep about how the lineup is going to change, just drunkenly yelling waist widths over each other. I couldn't even get a word in while I was paying.
I just want the factory base structure from my skis back. They are just so pristine from the factory, thank you for that ON3P.

A lot of people hate Vail for stupid reasons imo. Vail is an easy target for the "Ermahgerd liek the corporations" type people.

That said Vail has been fucking some things up huge recently. The new uniform situation is hilariously fucked. The HR department getting KO'd is insane. Just got back on my laptop today and checked in the vail site and I'm listed for a lower job title and pay than I was hired for.

Either was this is my 3rd year back with VR. I wanted at least 2 years, preferably 3 here. If things don't improve I'll take the 3 years on the resume and either bounce to another spot in tahoe, or maybe head back to Aspen/Snowmass.

It just kinda blows when you could work for another mountain closer and get paid several dollars more an hour immediately but VR still tries to fuck with you. I'm open to working for a bit less if I'm learning a decent amount, but really haven't been so far. Also I could probably get a raise if I started working at taco bell in town. Just shows how dank VR's wages are.

Eventually I just wanna fuck off to the midwest or back to the east coast and find a fixer upper park. Small mtn vibes, level headed owners, some sort of a decent local scene that just needs a good park to thrive.

The only thing im hyped on vail for is that they have PCs closing date two weeks later than last year's so even if the snow year isnt as good i can have a job and ski there a little longer. Fuck the yellow jackets lately, usually just cooperate and slow down but theyve been cocking people left and right like assholes. They also need to get more terrain open, more snow coming but nothing open high up despite the "waist deep" turns patrol has had.

I really enjoyed the management of Deer Valley before they were owned by Alterra honestly. Working for big resorts can be fun and enjoyable if they are operated right. Sadly its not the case anymore at a lot of places

Well it’s going the wrong way at Kirkwood. And Heavenly. They do spend on flatstar.

They didnt open the wall for 5 days due to a lack of patrollers so the snow got beat by wind on day 4 no one got to ski it while it was soft. Close months earlier than ever used to go until June good years. Backside will take 2 weeks to open.

peptides. Depending on the injury ofc. There has been some stupid recoveries with anecdotal evidence on forums and a shitload of scientific backing up there healing properties.


look in to: TB500, BPC157 and Growth hormone.

if I was in the states I would be rocking that stuff every injury without doubt. But too get it shipped here we run the risk of customs and degraded peptide quality.
