DummyBearsNobody really does just think about what applied skills you have that are the best.
Yeah, I'm just scared that i'll be bored as fuuuck and have a hard time applying myself if i don't pick something which at least sounds somewhat interesting or fun to me.
BiffbarfSchool can wait, take some time off and find out what you wanna do. Unless you got mad mommy/daddy cash you'll just waste time and money fuckin around with classes you're not into.
I feel like this puts me in the same dilemma - finding a new place to live, possibly new job, etc.
If I dropped out after this semester I just know I'd regret the lost time, and when I have to eventually return and get back into the flow of things. Also, admittedly i find comfort in the structure that college provides for me right now.
I just need to suck it up and meet with career coaches, try different classes, etc. but it's just frustrating. With so much pressure from family/friends/university, I'm just sick of it. Everything I've been told to try to help me has just confused and conflicted me anymore. I've seen both ends of the spectrum. I've seen how going for the most technical big-bucks degree can lead to an emotionally draining, boring career, and I've also seeing how being blinded by the "do what you love" approach can lead to an absolutely useless degree. Being able to pick a major which walks the line between the two is so hard for me.
