MinggThis girl that I work with really bothers me.

She apparently has a nursing degree yet just took the CNA course. She says all that she needs to do is take the NCLEX to become an RN. But today she didn’t even know what a catheter was... RN’S ARE SUPPOSED TO INSERT THESE THINGS INTO PEOPLES PEE HOLES AND SHES NEVER SEEN ONE BEFORE??? When speaking about edema and swelling she asked what that was and why it happens...(this is taught in anatomy/physiology 1 your first semester of school..) She doesn’t understand basic care concepts and I truly don’t know how she made it through the CNA class, let alone a degree program.

She also is super set on speaking spanish all the time because it is HER language and not speaking her language is discrimination.

I’ll tell you what, speaking ENGLISH to an ENGLISH speaking dementia patient can agitate them. They are confused in a way we may never really understand and you speaking Spanish with your coworker in that patient’s room about something unrelated to the resident is going to deeply scare/disorient them and confuse them further.

Even a neurologically stable patient who speaks English is going to be confused and might assume you are speaking poorly of them if you speak Spanish in their room.

She knows English and I find it disrespectful to exclude patients from conversation. Not to mention it is a kardex violation because their care plans state to communicate with them in English.

Spanish speaking patients care planned to be spoken to in Spanish? GO FOR IT! That’s great! You are one of few people who can effectively communicate with them and that is extremely valuable! On break is totally fine too but to say we’re all racist when you’re offered a translater is fucking absurd.

I consider myself a fairly active person (tennis three times a week, walking around town daily, etc.) and I eat pretty healthy (fast food or eating out only once a month now). So I'm pretty healthy, but I'm also plus size.
I went with my friend to her cousin's BBQ this week and was so excited to find out he has two border collies. I am a total dog person.

We get into the back yard and I introduce myself to everyone including the dogs. After we eat, we sit down to relax and the cousin starts to play fetch with the dogs. I was completely insulted by the insinuation that being fat meant you couldn't run around and enjoy physical activity, but I decided to ignore him and grabbed two tennis balls anyway. I threw them across the yard—and get this! The dogs didn't chase them. They just sat there and stared at me even though a minute before they were begging for the balls to be thrown!

DIRTYBUBBLECommunity college is fucking bullshit and I hate myself for allowing various adults in my life to talk me into it. This place is giving me fucking soul cancer and I’m in complete awe that everyone here doesn’t collectively all hate their lives. runforlove2018Can't stand city drivers. Half the people are texting on their phones swerving left or right. Others are driving like it's the Autobahn; no the speed limit is 55mph not 90mph bud... The rest are foreigners who drive like they're still in said foreign country, all erratic and shit. And 90% of people don't know how to merge. Merging at 45mph into a 70mph highway is rediculously dangerous yet I have to do it nearly every day because I'm behind folks setting the pace when merging. If it's a semi in front of me, I've had to merge as slow as 35mph into a 70mph zone....

Then you've got your rubberneckers. The people who slow down to look at the accident on the other side of the concrete barrier. The folks who drive slow because a cop pulled someone over. Ffs just go! I got places to be.

Then you've got old people. Fugggggggg. Just out for a cruise during rush hour. No where to be, got all the time in the world. First things first, grandma, you probably shouldn't even be driving at all in your condition. Secondly, lets try to at least go the speed limit. Uber drivers tend to fit into this category as they usually go the speed limit in the fast lane creating an enormous line of cars.

Then late nights and weekends you have your drunk drivers..... EVERYWHERE. You people are worthless excuses for life.

OregonDead^no one I know from the Rockies uses chains or snow tires . They don’t even own them but they own condos and cabins way up in places like winter park. Attitude is like yeah my car already has tires and my brain is full. On the one hand their snow is usually so dry it just blows off the road and they get away with it. On the other hand it is just fucking stupid and asking for disaster to not be prepared for ice.
