Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

OregonDeadHad that happen w/ UPS . Still waiting on a package that they had to do an investigation to find. Was coming from CA but they sent it to the east coast by mistake.


RparrI have 500$+ packages land through usps every single week. They lost a pack once 3 years ago but it showed up 8 days later. There is a very good chance it will come through


Yeah I have no fucking clue what happened because it was out for delivery on Monday.....but now it's back in Hawaii? Wtf? Stressful because it has like $700 worth of shit in it. At least the alert we have no idea where your package is thing is gone.

USPS has fucked up a bunch of stuff already this year for me. Also the post office in KB and South Lake both have some super shitty people working there.


Been stuck making snow for a while. They were able to keep us till the dec 15th or 30th at the latest. I get that snowmaking is important but would be chill if they just hired people for it. I mean fuck it, they need lifties always, hire snowmakers and make them do lifts after or something.

Haven't run a cat this year and been working for 2 months. Tonight was warm, didn't fire 1 gun up. Another night with a few cats parked in the yard not getting run but obviously made way more sense for me to sit around/ do some bullshit missions around the mountain.

Pretty dumb honestly because I'd be down to make snow early season next year, but if they're going to be shitty about it this year, I'm fucking out on it for next year. If I go in tonight and find out I'm not in a cat still, I'm just going to drive home. They can either put me in a cat, like the job I'm hired for, or fucking fire me. I don't care. Would be cool to at least know if I'm ever getting back to the park, or I need to find a new job.

Hopefully everything balances out this week and the rest of the season is good though. It probably will be, but the amount of bullshit the last few weeks was pretty high.

Also i went to day park crew for a few days a couple weeks ago, and buddy went to park grooming for the same. Then it got cold and they pulled us back to snowmaking. Allegedly they might try to do that again even after we get back into our reg jobs. If they do, I'm going to tell them to fuck off. I don't care if it's cold and they're making snow. Hire a a full staff next time. They're getting mad help from other departments already, but it's bullshit to think they can hold people forever.

Worst case, fuck it. I hate finding jobs mid season but at my resumes pretty dec these days.

Idk, just doesn't seem like too much to ask to be able to do the job you're hired to do. We shall see

I'm still waiting on my Neff shades from black friday. First round was went MIA in Richmond. Also said returning to sender, but never made it close to me. They decided to send them again 9 days ago but still haven't gotten them. So who knows.

got returned to sender? Can happen if the package requires a signature and nobody is there to sign. But usually they just try again the next day or tell you to pick it up, so that is still weird

Yeah.....didn't even try when it was on delivery....I was home that day and the postman never came.

Seller called USPS and they had no idea why either. So we are just going to ship it to my Reno address now.

Maybe I'm not getting something here but why do Australians travel halfway across the world just to get drunk every night in a ski town. The majority of aussies I have met in revelstoke ski like 1-2 half days a week then just get pissed and get fucked up on drugs.

There's a bunch of Aussies in my town too. They don't get super fucked up like your bunch so I personally like them and asked one of them why exactly you find Aussies everywhere in every ski town. She said that :

1. Travelling is highly regarded in their culture, as well as being super common. Being on an island with not much variety means you basically have to travel to stay sane. Travelling for 2-3 months each summer is expected, and if you dont travel you're seen as kind of a townie.

2. Everywhere is super far from Australia, especially if you want to ski during your summer break. So if you're gonna get in a plane and drop $$$ and fly super far, for two months, whats the difference between the Alps vs Whistler? Only extra xx hours.

Kind of interesting cause you see those fuckers everywhere in ski towns.

Chilling in the Shell station at the base of Donner Summit, didn't ski the pow day today because we really really need to be back home tomorrow. Making preparations to sleep in the Alltrack with my wife and two kids. Fuck, the road conditions aren't even that bad.

On the plus side, if I'm allowed. The Alltrack fucking rips in deep snow and we boarded the dog with some of her litter mates.

It didn't turn out too badly overall. I'm still passed we didn't make it over before they shut 'er down or ski yesterday. We were staged ready to go when the opened the pass back picked up doggo on the way home and got back to the south bay at noonish.

What gets me are the kids who purposely stick their arms out into hilarious positions when landing in order to try to be magnus graner or some shit. I mean I'm not particularly a fan of that kind of skiing anyways, but it looks REALLY bad when a 12 year old in track pants who can hardly even ski in the first place is doing it. I need eye bleach after a day at my local hill these days

Wanted to at least scan the code somewhere, but stuck in the mountains because of bullshit snowmaking. Finally get out of that department way past when I was supposed to be out, car is fucked.

Awesome day, shoveled snow for 3 hours, called tow, dealt with douchiest tow truck drive I've ever met, made it to work for full shift, new shift and everybody lives other way. Ended up walking 3 miles at 1 am before somebody picked me up. Find out today car is utlra fucked.

Trying to figure out what to do without exploding. If I work at Northstar again in the future I'm going to throw a fatty hell no to anyone who tries to make me do snowmaking for any fucking reason.

Hopefully I can find another car. But this makes this tight to impossible on making it to Australia to groom this year. And last season I can get a work holiday. Hoping it works out. Not very stoked.

It's a funny show but half the time its Michael Scott being so ridiculous I wanna punch him, like usual the early seasons were funny then as it went on it got too exaggerated.
