How much did your summer setup cost?

I'm planning a summer set up, and right now I have it costing $230.... I feel like I'm doing something wrong.
I have the wood itself costing: $128
I have the turf + m-Snow costing $102
I have some questions, too:
Do I need to cover the whole area of the set-up with turf? I'm making the kind of setup that has horizontal pieces of wood on the sloped part, should I just cover the bars itself in turf?
I have the bars that are part of the lip covered in m-Snow.
If you actually want to help, please message me and I'll show you my blueprint.
Thanks!

Mine was $40 initially ($30 for turf, $10 for enough PVC for one 10' rail) because I got all the wood for free. just go to a housing development or a lumberyard and ask for scraps or raid their recycle bin. over time i got more pvc for more rails.
on the downslope, you only need turf on the perpendicular 2x4's, but it wont really say you much money.

My dads a contractor and got the turf for free and the plywood was free. All we had to buy were 2x4s and PVC which wasn't expensive at all. I think we spent less than 100 total. Definitely worth it

Made mine out of pallets, 2x4s and 2 mattress frames I found at the dump. Stole a pvc and construction fence leaving the inly cost the turf, so in total I spent $35

If you're looking for cheap or free wood look for pallets. You can usually find them behind stores. Just ask the manager. I found about 40 at a Harbor Freight and they said i could have as many as i wanted.
