I'm going skydiving

For my birthday yesterday my mom said she will pay for me to go skydiving. Im super pumped. Its going to be a tandem jump but still its going to be wild. Anyone done this before? Any regulars here?

I've jumped 3 times. It's a good time.

I have a friend who jumped with me one time, and ended up continuing on to get his license. I believe he has his C license now - he jumps a couple days a week when its warm enough.

I might be going in July. I'm scared as all hell but i wanna do it. I heard that some people pass out their first time...that kind of freaks me out haha

I went last summer its really fun. Sounds stupid but the best way to simulate it would be laying on your bed in the skydive position and imagining being 15,000ft up. I actually thought the parachute ride was scarier you pull some g's turning with the chute.

Make sure to wear a sports bra or your huge rack might make it so you don't even need a parachute.

Skydiving is fun. Don't forget to arch. If you see a person in a wingsuit ask for a "flyby" you won't regret it.

I hope you realize you're much more likely to die driving on the highway than from a tandem skydive. Do you tell people please don't die every time they go on the highway?

I felt nothing when the chute was pulled. My tandem guy let me control the chute for a bit, do some hard turns and all that.



Skydiving is amazing, something I think everyone who has even the slightest interest in should do.

remember to look around and not just straight down. it's an amazing view.

and also if you can, don't be the first to jump. I remember one of the weirdest feelings was watching my friends stand in the door of the plane, then suddenly being gone.

and also, ask if you can exit the plane in a way that allows you to see the plane disappear above you.

You're going to have an awesome time. Anybody else have their ears pop really bad on a jump? That was the only bad part of the whole experience.

I also have 18 static line jumps but that's a completely different experience.

Nope.

That's probably right but that doesn't make skydiving safer than driving

I just got jumps 7, 8, and 9 in yesterday working on my solo licence. Go to the washroom before you get in the plane, it is a long way to the top. Have fun, and keep at it. This sport is highly addicting

Didn't make it any less of a good time though, it's a pretty wild experience and you'll have some fun.

Lol two years ago I went tandem skydiving for my birthday with my mom. Must be a mom thing...

Anyways, its probably in the top 3 coolest/must extreme things I've ever done. If it wasn't so expensive I'd try to get my solo but fuck that.

P.S. the second before you jump out the plane is probably going to be one of the most scary things you ever do.

There is no difference in breathing during a skydive, you were just freaking out.
