Replying to Web 4.0

Web 2.0 is described as the era of social networking, in which users communicate with each other across a network. Web 3.0, which many believe to be the current era, is described as an age in which computers are able to understand conceptual semantics. The next leap involves an era in which humans and technology become one. How long do you think it will take for humanity to make the leap from Web 3.0 to Web 4.0. Do you think it will be beneficial or detrimental in the long run?
