Use your programming ability for good

I am trying to stay on top of my programming ability, so I was thinking of making some kind of ski app or program.

Some of my ideas were to make a better ski dice app or maybe a newschoolers app I don't know.

It would obviously be open source as I am reaching out to NS. Personally, I have experience in Java, C, Python, and a tad in Perl. We can do it in any language I dont really care. Its a nice little resume builder and just a for fun project over summer.

If you are interested, shoot me a pm or just comment. We can do whatever so suggestions are more than welcome.

NS video editor:

basic slow mo, focusing, filters, easy music additions,cutting clips and adding transitions and stuff.

lets more people make neat little iphone edits and upload direct to NS

I like the idea but I feel like most people like to use their DSLR's and what not over phones. I just don't think it would be worth the effort to code. I appreciate the response though.

how good are you with making games?
make like a little freeskiing game with tilt & on screen controls maybe?
if you need help with textures I know my way around photoshop(not sure if that's how textures are made now a days)
