Mike Douglas needs your help

So I would hope most of you have seen this already but if not Douglas (ie the founder of your sport) needs our help. Together with Jeff Thomas (the good poorboyz films) he has been producing salomon freeski tv for the past few years on no real budget.

Now mike had his own project which really needs your support. Take a look at the link here

As far as I am aware it's a Freud of mikes and this is a project he has wanted to do for a long time. He ha been filming it throughout the last winter but now needs the funding to finish the project. I hope this gets funded its close but if they don't make it they get nothing.

^how is he in any way what is wrong with skiing. What are you talking about. He has done so much for the sport we all love. Now he just needs help in funding his dream project. It may surprise you but even mike is not a rich man from skiing. If you saw where this and free ski tv are made I would hope you would relize we are not talking about some big budget film here. its a super interesting project I think and hopefully some other people here agree.

Sounds like a sick story and yes Mike D did a lot and still does a lot for freeskiing etc. But please dont pretend Salomon Freeski TV is some ghetto production and has 'no real budget'. You really think Salomon doesnt pay them fair?

Salomon for sure give them some budget by not much. I worked with mike and Jeff on series 5 and can assure you its no big production. What they produce is far in excess of what is spent on it. But this is about the snowman and I hope at least a couple of people here may be able to help out.

I donated; it'll be interesting to see if he pulls it off. He's so close I'm wondering if corporate sponsorship will step in at the last minute or if they can rally together the funds on a line of credit to close the gap as so many have already pledged. He said he wants to finish the project no matter what it'd be easier to pay off the difference IMO with the pledges he's already accumulated than go back to square one and try to complete the project in another fashion. Many of the top funding prizes (the skis) were already claimed so they would need many people pitching in on the lower end. The story sounds really cool & inspiring.

Good to see they are getting closer to the goal. Hopefully they do it and yes I'll be interested to see if any brands help out if they don't quite make it.
