MinggI've talked to people who have driven drunk and most of them used one of the excuses I mentioned in that post or something along those lines. Does that justify it? No. Does it take away any of the blame? No. Do I think drinking and driving under any circumstances is okay? No.
I wasn't trying to defend anyone who drinks and drives. I'm completely against it. What I was referring to in that post was that people are gonna use those excuses and blame alcohol for what they did. If people keep blaming alcohol for doing dumb shit and don't see the error in what they do/ have done then the problem isn't gonna get solved. Unless people start accepting the fact that it's their choice and their fault, there's gonna be a lot of people who drink and drive. That's all I was trying to say in that post. Evidently I did a bad job.
MinggBecause when you're drunk you're too impaired to make any kind of decision in a logical and rational way. Sober you could say drinking and driving is horrible and the dumbest thing you can be but when you're drunk it's like all your morals are nonexistent. You don't realize what you're doing when you do it and that's the shitty part.
