I still have my 5 digit steamID from being a cs 1.3 beta tester in the OG days and fucking nostalgia hard over the HL series. HL1 was wild and HL2 with ep1&2 were so great. VALVe is the f u c k i n g shit. next CS shit running on the HL3 engine are going to be > COD
meaning? No one even knows unless this kid found some grail of a post that confirms it. Gooseman (creator) says we won't see it but they surprised us at E3 in 2003 with HL2...so all ym heads over on ESEA are hit and miss on this confirmation, I am taking it as a grain of salt.
HL series is the #1 franchise FPS game on the market and any OG will agree. It shattered records and will again once the new engine (if at all) is ever released.
VALVe probably isn't even attending unless a new Team Fortress is out. They are working too hard on the SteamOS and controller which mark my words, once it gains more support and is released, it will take less than 2 years until it is matching and probably surpassing Xbox and PS4. It will be basically a Shuttle PC with both Microsoft and Sony's tech. It's about time we have another and final option besides the two.

I understand why they didnt release them on xbox one and ps4, but it was retarded that they didn't release it on PC. That is easy code to write and is not changing.

Splinter cell is old, but one of my favorite games. It has a unique style of gameplay that personally I really like

I was going to recommend SC as well! I've always enjoyed the series, and the latest is definitely one of the strongest. Here's a few more suggestions off the top of my head... I'll have to check my collection when I get home this afternoon and let you know if I missed anything.
Buy it: Far Cry 3, Demon / Dark Souls series, Borderlands 2.
Rent it: Dishonored, Mass Effect 3, Deux Ex, Batman series, Bioshock series, Metro: Last light, Dead Island, Max Payne, Portal 2

If you can find it for a decent price, I'd say so. It's a super solid FPS by itself, but if you enjoy good coop, loot, and some small RPG elements, then you'll definitely love it.

i dig the cops/robbers gamemode they got there. that whole "play as swat or as a robber" things something ive never really seen before in FPS games. and im sure they'll have a neat story.
also, any sport game fans. NHL 15 looks fucking great, not gonna lie. definitely looks like theyre using the fifa engine for it.

wooooooooooooooooow. What was I thinking? Of course I am going to have to buy the XBox one to get anything for Halo. Sucks that the 360 is already obsolete. I want to play Halo 2 Anniversary so so so so so bad. Best Halo game there is (though all are classics).
