MartianManBoth good choices, but differ slightly. My assumption is that the Kartel is a tad softer than the Alpha, but also more durable due to thicker edges and bases. It is hard to break ON3P's, but Armadas durability is pretty good as well. Both skis would be more comfortable hitting rails and boxes instead of jumps, but my guess is the Alpha will be a tiny bit better on jumps considering it is skinnier and stiffer. The Kartel will be better at high speeds, due to its longer turning radius.
robotdnaMartianMan, longer radius doesn't necessarily mean more stable at speed. Usually it does. But I'm way more comfortable on my Head I.SL RD 165cm slalom skis(13m) than my Rossi jib skis that are 170(much larger than 13m, I've forgotten). I think it also depends on camber and rocker. I believe the Kartel has more rocker than the Alpha X, so it will do better all-mountain.
MartianManYeah I agree with you. I've gotten my own Volkl racetiger speedwall SL 165, also w a 13 m turn radius, to 67 mph. Race skis are just generally more stable, due to all the metal in the construction. But when comparing these two park skis, the ON3P will be much better at higher speeds. I have heard a lot of complains about the Alpha and Halo squirreling out when they go fast. The taper makes it harder as well, along with the short radius.
robotdnaI forgot to mention this, but I have a friend that had his Alpha Xs get destroyed pretty fast to rocks. I was following him, and my Goats were fine at the time. Go ON3P. Follow suit OP. Join the OMG3P hype train.
I love slalom skis so much, especially out of the course. Just feeling those G forces....oh my god.
ski_da_powi plan on getting the kartel 98, how durable are the topsheets on on3p skis? arent they sandwich/ sidewall construction type skis?

yungsteezebump im torn between these two and id like some more feedback
.LincolnYou're gonna have to give more info in what you like and info about yourself to help you. Like ability, likes/dislikes, height weight, all that good stuff:)
yungsteeze6 feet, 170 pounds, advanced. skiing park, urban, all mountain and maybe some powder.

NegromancerThe Armada's also have a 2.5 x 2.5mm edge like the ON3P's I'm not sure how thick Armada's Comp Base is but the S7 Base you get on AR7's, Thall's etc is very durable.
DarthVaderVery different edges on the two skis:

Bases are different thickness for sure, different material too I think.
