I searchbarred, I found the "sleeping in my car" thread hoping for help, but alas, none. And nothing else relevant.
I'd like to start winter camping, coming in via ski tour(Jeffery's woot) and doing a night or two. I found a -40° mummy bag for $160, but was wondering if it's overkill. Is there a
cheaper,
better option than this? Also how the hell do I lash it to the back of the backpack below \/ ?

While we are on it, I wanted to get a large ski backpack I tour up with and then hunker down when skiing for the day. I found the Norrona Trollveggen 45L Backpack for $140. Is this alright? Again, advice appreciated. I don't want a massive backpacking pack, rather a "smaller huge" pack I can ski with.

I found the ALPS Tasmanian 2, a nice 4-season tent that is small and packable. I'm not really wanting to do a bivy, as I can't store a bunch of stuff in it. But then again, I'm open to your advice!

Thanks for your help! I really don't want to spend a whole lot of money (still expensive, but I saved), but I understand the concept of quality.
