Just curious what everyone thinks about Tanner Hall, he seems to be the topic of a lot of controversy. I personally don't mind him, but just interested in others thoughts.

I think you're forgetting Tanner is a person too, with feelings and emotions.

Tanner Hall is 30, he still has some glory years still in him. He's getting more into touring and less into comps etc. Seth is 40, so i'm really looking forward to his future movies dropping september. I think he will step up the backcountry film segment to another level. Seriously look at his instagram and the lines he's been dropping. T is another level.
I don't always agree with the things he says but I respect the fuck out of Tanner and I really like what he's been doing lately...not that ANY of our opinions matter to him lol

Its kinda tough to hate T-HALL. I've heard many stories about him being a douche and stoner (which I imagine he is), but if it weren't for him, I doubt freeskiing would be at the same magnitude. He sends the shit out of it when he is skiing and has a mad passion for the sport. Kind of a tough decision in my opinion.....
I think he's seriously washed up, still kills it in the backcountry but lets face it he's old and out of the game and has been since 2009. Before the injury in 09 when he broke his legs he was on top of the game and absolutely killing it, but he was out during a lot of time that the sport progressed without him.
Best in the game. People saying they are, have been better then him since 09 and what not is just wrong. Go ski outside the park one day or even one run with him and you will never doubt that he still remains as one of the best. #PBP20. Even in the park, you'll never get disapointed if you see him ski. And again the word "better" - as spinning faster and flipping more, possibly. But as far as execution, slime and style of the tricks, it is not many people better...

THall is one of the coolest pros I've ever met. I've met him twice, once at a comp and once at a signing, and. Oth times he was super nice and willing to talk to me instead of brush me off.
Not to mention all that he's done in freeskiing and the industry game.
Mad respect for him.

T-hall should let his skiing do the talking, when he opens his mouth I lose my respect for the guy. Also, my respect for him went down when he fucked Justin Beiber. HE IS A BELIEBER WTF
T-hall is obviously a legend of the freeskiing community, because he made freeskiing what it is.

There was a new Tanner GoPro edit up somewhere a day or two ago of him going huge off of natural features. Cant find it now, but this one is pretty cool too.
There's no denying tanner was influential to the sport. He's always pushing it and himself. He's so passionate and basically passed the creative reigns to b-dog and dollo in making the education of style. Sure he has his rants but who cares. It's mostly against people that should be yelled at.
