New album leaked a few days ago, been jamming to it and i am loving it. For those who dont know its called turn blue. Any thoughts on this work of art yet?

Fever is the only song I've heard. It's decent, not great. I've tempered my expectations. They're going to have a real hard time writing anything better than Gold on the Ceiling.

they need to get back to the raw sound they had on Magic Potion. it's too pop-py. they just don't have the power and energy in their songs like their old albums did.

I've listened to just about everything they've written. Gold on the Ceiling and Howlin' For You are their best songs. I'm not some hipster who thinks their older music is better just because it's not as popular.

Seriously.

El Camino is the only Black Keys album I wasn't able to get into, tried a lot, but nope.

Chulahoma: The Songs of Junior Kimbrough is one of my all time favourite albums.
Turn Blue has become my second favourite Black Keys album, and top off that list of three with Rubber Factory.

Work past what's played in the radio, everything is better that way.
