Ok so I have the t3i with kit lens... What are the best settings for taking ski pics ( or any action sports).

Sunset shoot (dont overdo it), bigass kickers, mountains in the background.

Check out the top rated photos here on NS to get some idea, and also using flash makes many shots reaaaally awesome.

There is no perfect setting. Lighting can change drastically in a matter of minutes. The best thing you could do is to invest a small amount of time to really start understanding how and why your camera changes based off of the settings you change.
