If you say the shape and not just the color i automatically label you as a idiot that has no idea what your doing. Am i the only one that does this? couldn't think of a better time to discuss this then summer NS.

the american system is wrong. it goes blue: easy, red:medium and black:difficult. none of this shape bullshit. also some places like laax will call off-piste runs yellow instead of just another black which sometimes gives the indication to some people that it is groomed

If someone says green, blue, black, or double black I know what they mean. If they say circle, square, diamond, double diamond I know what they mean. I don't think someone's choice of words in a situation like this really makes a difference in determining their level of intelligence or idiocy to be honest.

Yeah we just say the actual name of the run for the most part. I only say the colour if I'm with someone from out of town that won't know run names yet. I usually don't ski a full run anyways and cut through trees from run to run.

this is what I'm saying.. i call them a dub black or just a black no need for the shape. if you say the shape its a wast of air and time. a kid asks you what chair to take to get to the green circle what do you automatically think he looks like and of his ability to ski... this is the point of this thread. and it has been on front page for awhile woot woot for successful dumb thread
