JLevTips flexs a ton when slamming down on a landing, literally flattening out out on impact which is what causes all layers to want to separate. hardened steel edge vs. plastic vs. wood all flex at different rates. The less layers of varying materials the less delam.
BigPurpleSkiSuitI never skied the metal, but I love lively playful skis. I want to know how the hotshot floats in pow though before I consider making a purchase next year. I've kind of narrowed it down to that or the reckoner 112, but I've never skied either.
J_skisThe Reckoner at 112mm wide will give you more platform underfoot than The Hotshot at 106mm wide, however float in powder doesn't only equate to waist width - the tip/tail width and most importantly taper play huge factors in that. The Metal had a much more traditional tip shape that tended to hook when in the deep stuff, so for The Hotshot we essentially gave it the same shape as The Friend (maximum powder performance) and narrowed it down to be more suited as an everyday ski. It floats phenomenally for it's width and gives you awesome dampness for really charging through crud.
Also remember we offer a 100% Money Back Guarantee. So you can literally buy the skis (or go for 0% financing), ski them up to 5 days on your own mountain, on your own time, with your own bindings, and if you're not totally stoked on them after that send them back to us for a full refund and you can go buy some K2s.
BigPurpleSkiSuitOh damn, I forgot about that money back guarantee, I will definitely be trying that out midseason then.
JacobthesadskierOhhh dear, I might just have to get a pair of those Bob Ross skis even though I don't need them and can't afford them even if I did. (Any chance of a discount for extremely desperate skiers/massive Bob Ross fans?)
