whodunitDevin had amazing potential a few years ago. The biggest thing for all the young female skiers will be injuries. Someone needs to do more research on preventative training or equipment for female skiers. Kaya has had an amazing career but how much better would she be if she hadn't experienced so many season-ending knee injuries? Ditto for so many other female freeskiers. All the young females coming up in the system face that possibility. (Yes, men get injured too and it has been disastrous for a few who wanted to make the Olympic team. But it seems so overwhelming for the female skiers.) Everyone was saying that Devin was going to take over the sport but then she blew her knee...each new female who does well gets that buzz until she either gets injured and another one comes along.

Except for the fact that women have a slightly higher center of gravity among other minor differences in the structure of their body that result in women having a much higher chance of severe knee injuries. But hey, you probably know better than the people who deal with this kinda stuff for a living.

Just about every girl skier that rips has had a knee injury. I can hardly say the same thing for guys. For guys it's a terrible thing but for us women, it's like "oh girl you tore your ACL again?"

When girls are young, they're all rubbery. About at the age of 20, their tendons resemble peanut brittle.
