Is kelly sildaru better at slopestyle than devin logan

i was just watching the vice freeskiing thing and shortly after watched the new sildaru vid, and i noticed that kelly actually looked better and did better tech tricks than devin. so is she better?

i mean sildarus probably better. i havent really watched devin logan ski that much but its not like shes some crazy shredder. but she called out tanner hall so fuck her

Maggie Voisin is better than Kelly. I would put money on Maggie over every other girl skier right now. She was robbed at x games and would have probably won the olympics if she didn't get injured in practice. On a different level to all the other girls and always sends it over the big booters with style..

I don't think Kelly would be strong enough to hit most of the features in the Olympics. She has lots of skills, but in her edits most of the stuff she does are fairly small. Once she is a bit bigger it will be hers for the taking.

Is it me...or has any of these girls that "have a dub under their belt" actually done one in a major comp besides Nine Queens? I feel like until that happens, their comps will continue to not progress.

Right now Kelly is a huge prodigy. She threw a 1080 at a comp. If she matures well and becomes strong she will be able to take on bigger jumps no problem. Keen to see what how she matures over the years.

she'll burn out if shes like 11 or 12, and being given this much pressure. it will stop being as fun for her soon. Maybe I'm wrong but it's happened plenty of times.

In my opinion the only other girl on her level is Maggie Voison. Both are mad young but Kelly at 13 or 14 or whatever with all 4 9's... most dudes cant even say they have that. Props to kelly for giving older chicks a run for their money and to kellys parents for raising such a rad little girl

Yeah right! I may agree. They just turned out to be in different level, but I think Kelly's more better than Levin.

why are we assuming that she will even go pro? She could easily get sick of it and just drop it. Maybe she won't even want to hit bigger jumps when she is old enough to compete. She is pretty much a prodigy and could very easily just burnout and fade away.

shes 12 tho. thats the craziest part to me. we gat a bunch of edits of 13-15 year olds throwing doubles and throwing down all around but even in mens you see barely any 12 slaying as hard as her. honestly id be pissed if she decided to drop skiing, but at the rate shes progressing she is lightyears ahead of any female park skier. even though her skill is comparable to some (maggie, devon, lisa), when you factor in her age she really is a ridiculously talented skier for either gender, but is unbelievably far ahead of the game. and aside from skiers like steven stepp shes far and away the best female park skier. IMO

Lisa is better, lol, even Kelly is better than Logan, and she’s 13? 14? With that in mind, the final 10 competitors in Olympics women’s slope is a decrease!
Now, that said, Tirli Sjåstad has been injured, she actually sends it, good at rails and do proper grabs at least in 80% of her jumps.

I don't know if she will dominate in a few years. Obviously right now she's one of the best, but her situation kind of reminds me of that of a female gymnast. Female gymnasts are so good before they hit a certain stage of puberty and their hips widen or do what ever they do. In women's gymnastics one of the most popular performance enhancing drugs is a drug that literally stops the physical changes of puberty, thus we can easily say that that change from girl-hood to women-hood, physically speaking, hurts their game immensely.
Also, every time the Summer Olympics rolls around, people are always asking for age checks on China's female gymnasts. Is it crazy to think that if female gymnasts under 16 could beat those that meet the minimum age requirement, that slope style skiing could be so different? (The two sports are not really that far off from each other.)
I guess what I'm trying to say is that Kelly is amazing, yes. But is she some miracle young skier girl or is she just like a female gymnast who hits their prime when they are 14 years old?

Also, why are people voting for Stepp. IVE never seen him do sw right 9... and kelly's rail game is much more on point.

Devin had amazing potential a few years ago. The biggest thing for all the young female skiers will be injuries. Someone needs to do more research on preventative training or equipment for female skiers. Kaya has had an amazing career but how much better would she be if she hadn't experienced so many season-ending knee injuries? Ditto for so many other female freeskiers. All the young females coming up in the system face that possibility. (Yes, men get injured too and it has been disastrous for a few who wanted to make the Olympic team. But it seems so overwhelming for the female skiers.) Everyone was saying that Devin was going to take over the sport but then she blew her knee...each new female who does well gets that buzz until she either gets injured and another one comes along.
