I've a got a pair of rossi axial 2 12 dins lying around and I'm about to mount my new 192cm bent chetlers. I'm not sure whether the 12 din binding will work well for me or if I should get a 16 din. I ski in Colorado and like to huck cliffs and ski trees. I'm 5' 11" and 160lb

Axial 2 are some of the beefiest plastic bindings out there along with top of the line Markers, so you should be pretty good with them. I've also had very good personal experience with them, though not on pow skis.

You have to be painfully honest with yourself when you're choosing what binding you should get. Trees don't push the limits of bindings, but if you are truly hucking cliffs then get a better binding. By cliffs I mean things 20 ft and up.
Also, for your weight shops will set your DIN at about 8, which is lower than lots of 16 DIN bindings go down to.
I actually ski Bent Chetlers as well. Currently I'm running FFG 16's on. Before that I had FFG 14's on an earlier model of the ski.

If i am right in thinking the axial2 is like the px series from look/dynastar I wouldnt trust them for a second when dropping cliffs.
although this is from personal experience, I have had px 18s 5 years ago for a season, went through 2 sets in the season. broke one heel piece stomping a cliff to a rock. the 2nd exploded when landing switch in pow.
Sell them and get something better. I put a lot of faith into salomon bindings. I feel most secure in an STH binding than most. Also gives the most adjustments (STH driver series or STH2)

If you're concerned about your binding, look into a pair of MOJO 15s. The MOJO 15 has a DIN range of 5-15, and is the same beefy metal goodness as the MOJO 18, just with a lighter spring.

unless you have the racing version of the px12 (same as axial12) with the metal arms, upgrade to an FKS or something more in the 14 DIN range (not that DIN range is that specific)
I happen to have a pair of not too used pivot 14's that would fit nicely on those for only 115 shipped!
