.undetectedI think I'm in love.
mmccarthy14Whens the wedding?
Granite_StateThis.
But...my homemade burger with 90% lean ground beef shits on all these fast food chains. Not even close.
.undetectedThe wedding may or may not be when you take what there is and put it down by the river to make what you seem to be trying to have inside of this being.
El_Barto.im not sure if i hate you or love you. Either way prepare to be raped
El_Barto.^little big burger sucks
DingoSeanOP: Bullshit. InNout is fine if you're really on the cheap, or if you're on a burger binge, but it's hardly the best burger. Also, the drive thru is hardly a drive through. You might as well not call it one, because it takes fucking forever to get something and you get stuff faster by parking and walking in.
...Little Big Burger in Oregon is amazing, and here in the Tahoe area we have places like Burger Me which blow InNout out of the water.
I've also heard of this place in SoCal called FarmerBoys which is fucking unreal.
Display_ScreenHow do you make them? Step by step please, my homemade burgers suck no matter what meat I use
tronnedhomemade. I have some waygu beef that is great for burgers. I use bichotan to cook most things on the BBQ.
El_Barto.Dandys in Bend oregon is dank too
Huck_NorrisFor fast food burgers, nothing fucks with 5 guys. Holy shit they are good for something you can have inside your face in ~7 minutes.
My fave I've been able to concoct so far myself though is a 50/50 grass fed ground sirloin and veal patty. Mix them together with just a little bit of spice or go full blown Juicy Lucy but man, that makes the most amazingly soft, juicy, flavorful burger. I literally turned a friend back from vegetarianism with one.
My biggest secret though? Steam Extra Sharp Cheddar in a small tin as if it was a veggie in a steamer. When steamed it melts like it never could on the grill and separates grease + cheese. Once it's liquid in the tin you dump the grease layer on top and dump the remaining liquid cheddar lava on your burger. It seems like a lot of work but trust me... It's fucking amazing. The transformation that happens when you steam extra sharp is like lighting a Flaming Moe ablaze.
_MEDSKIThere are a few places in Minneapolis that make the best burgers I have ever had.
As for chains, I have bit yet had a chance to try in n out, but I would like to. Also five guys is so damn good

jfletcherFergburger in Queenstown, NZ blows em all out of the water
ATLskierBoth in-n-out and five guys are possibly the most overrated establishments anywhere.
in-n-out, first off, is not cheap. Sure it's cheaper than mcdonalds, but you can go to almost any fast casual establishment that has burgers and get something better for around the same price. Same with five guys. IMO, five guys is a complete rip off. You can go to Ruby Tuesdays and get a burger for the same price, and its about the same. five guys isn't even really fast food. There is no drive-thru and it takes several minutes to get your food.
The best burgers are at burger specific places that feature local ingredients.
The best fast food burger for the money, is at Cookout, which is from NC and has many locations in the south. For about $4-5, you get a burger, drink and 2 sides, all which are awesome. Bonus...Their grilled cheese sandwiches are made with hamburger buns so you can order two of them and use them as buns for your burger. fucking amazing.
