Different Styles for different regions?

I know mostly all park skiers have baggy clothes and wear their goggles under the helmet, but are there any specific styles from different regions?

I think prior to the internet, certain ski hills and areas had their own style. Like the A town army etc. But with the internet and awesome sites like NS, much more of the skiing community is interlinked.

At hood meadows a lot of people like to ski with their pants rolled up/cuffed either on the boot or above it.

I see a lot of hesh skiers from portland with the whole skinny pants, pow skis in the park thing goin on.

Trailblazers jerseys everywhere.

I actually don't know to much about crews prior to the internet or sites like NS. I just remember seeing the A town army is TYW video about freeskiing by Network A and it looked like it was taped on VHC and released on film rather than the Internet.

Most skiers from CO wear women's underwear under their gear. Just a local thing. The bra-trees in CO are mostly from dudes who get itchy and ditch it during the day.

Ive skied a lot in the east and a few fashions stand out. There is no regional concentration of a certain type, but each style is quite different.

-The first timer. Yeah that guy that still has a 1980 banana yellow from a thrift shop or the other that wears the 1996 Olympic jersey. These people dont invest in winterwear

-Ski "expert". The ski instructor with arc'terix (sp?) suit, the guy with the Rossignol suit on the store mannequin and the ski racers. These people have to look good with expensive outwear.

-The Powder outwear. bright baggy outwear is the name of the game. The more neon it looks, strap on the fattests skis and come back white.

-The poor rider. He's got just enough money for Burton pants and a Quicksilver coat. Most often he gets his gear through contests.

-The broke rider. Like the poor rider, but never washed his tall T or coat. Fuck goggles man.

-The gangsta. Think big, really, hilariously, big clothing. Make sure you act like a criminal and egocentric.

-The Rastafarian: You can finding him out partying at the bar. A lot like a gangster, but without the attitude.

-Others. There are soo many styles I cant name them.

Southeast mountains (lol) are definitely keeping the 07-08 style with baggy clothing, acting gangster, thug music. I like it that way too.

Skiing at Mont Avila in Qc, the mecca of posers, it's pretty hilarious how kids dress, how they try way too hard to look stylish when they're skiing. But the best is that the pro-hoes are the thuggest

Sadly,this is true over 90% of the people at my local mountain in northern Maine gape like there's no tomorrow. Sometimes I like to join them by wearing fitted outerwear and getting that gaper gap flow real steezy.

people at my mountain in montana wear "beaver tails" which are essentially very douchey looking mud flap ass protectors. I have skied all over and never have I witnessed such a bizare phenomenom. Please tell me this weirdness goes on elsewhere.

My hill has such a small amount of freeskier (3) so it would seem that we could all have our own style. Well the other two look almost the same. Both huck and pencil spins as small 3s. Neither of them can grab while spinning.

As far as how people ski I feel like east coast skiers rail game is way more on point, and the west coast skiers are better at big air. All the east coast edits I watch have a ton of rails in them probably due to a smaller snowpack then the average west coast mountain. just my opinion.
