wasn't skiing but I was in ski boots and tried a gainer off a 15 foot cliff. landed on my head(no helmet), got up and walked away... young children were watching.

Never had anything particularly scary happen. A couple times skiing off trail I have gotten the feeling something wasn't right or I was being watched, not much else though.


My friend however was skiing at Stowe, popped through some tight woods into a clearing and there was just a bear there. He said his cousin screamed and that probably scared it off.

I had just had surgery on my wrist and since I am an idiot I went skiing a week later. I had gotten out of a tree run and hit an ice patch. I went right down to the arm that I had surgery on. It did not hurt much, but the next couple weeks before my follow up X-Ray I was so scared I had reshattered my wrist.

There's a road behind my house and my neighbors with a steep bank and when the plows come through, the snow piles up on sides. My neighbors cut down their trees at the top of the bank. Both our backyards have fairly steep hills. One day whilst digging away at my little backyard park I thought I should carve out a kicker off the road in the section behind my neighbor's yard. So I did and talked to my bud to see if he'd give me a tow in. Later that day we tried it out. Didn't go as planned, but didn't fall or get hurt. From the lip of the jump to where I landed was 50ft over a row of bushes and then a row of trees. Still not the part that scared the shit out of me. I hit the jump so fast I had barely enough time to stop after going through multiple piles of dog shit an hitting the furniture on the patio. Still want to do it again if I plan it out a bit better.

Little tree run in Niseko last winter, cousin went down first and then I went down and he screamed at me to stop but I didn't hear him then came up onto a 3 metre drop and shat my pants when I knew I couldn't stop. Landed super backseat but rode away and was probably was one of the most stoked moments in my history of skiing as then I knew I was able to hit bigger features and drops that I always thought I would wash out on.

Moral of the story, sometimes something scary that happens can further your skiing. :)

Stoped ahead of a feature at the end of our park (where a large rail a garden is) a dad who could not stop and was at least 250 missed me by an inch, and rode ever my skis

I was following some tracks off a trail through the woods with a buddy of mine, just cruising around and all of a sudden the tracks ended. I then noticed in the flat-light cloudy weather that I was about to fall off a cliff. I stop as fast as I could and purposefully fell back to try and stop myself with my body weight. I came to a stop with my legs dangling off the edge. I yelled up to my friend, "NO!". I couldn't even put a coherent sentence together. Sketchiest moment ever, it was like 60 feet to a hard pack groomed trail.

took too many right turns and got lost on the back of jay. entirely my fault, i thought i knew where we were going. 4 hours of slogging through waist deep snow later we ended up on the 242, but 2 miles beyond the dip parking lot.

Doing frontflips off super small rollers. Go to do it off of a very small roller, and I threw it wierd. I didn't fall but I felt my hat touching the snow.

Took the 45ft last jump in the pick n shovel line at park city to about 80ft- how I survived I have no idea. I was still going up when I saw the knuckle.

Thick fog sucks when you're skiing out in the open especially. Gets sketchy especially when you aren't familiar with the terrain.

Watch that video. Lucky to survive the avalanche, made it a few miles to safety, decided to go to the hospital, found out I ripped up my spleen and needed to be flown to a better hospital for emergency surgery... Two surgeries, and 15 total pints of blood transfused later, I was on a ventilator for 24hrs. Then I got to recover. I lost my spleen, 16cm of my colon and six weeks of the best snow Jackson WY has ever seen. But I'm alive!!!

tried to tap a stall-like feature (a box perpendicular to the hill and on top of a steep pyramid) and my tips went right into the wood and under the metal bar. I ejected from both skis and went up and over the box in an accidental 2/3 front flip putting me on my upper back. I had the wind knocked out of me and couldn't get up for a sec and I was really scared that I had ruined my back on the fall. That was just earlier this year at Chestnut

Landed on my head trying to backflip an avi barrier in Niseko. Rookie.



Also hit a tree at about 50kph, dented helmet and bruised shoulder was scary shit.

I crashed really hard after a big cliff and took my knee to my face multiple times and got knocked out. When I woke up the next day my back was so tense that I couldn't move, thought I was paralyzed.

One nice powder day while skiing high in the sky me an a friend went to go hit some cliffs that were in a sketchy place, so anyway i dont know what happened but i end up sliding down a 35 ft cliff and about 20 ft down i end up ass end into a tree (which was growin in the cliff) thought i broke my back or something for a min but turned out i was fine and their wasnt even any shit in my pants.

had 2 of them and I can't think which is the worst. I once fell of the chairlift and we didn't have the bar down, it was like a 30 ft drop luckily it was deep powder under us. And my second one is just a massive big air dave, 50 ft jump and I went at least 90 ft. It was really windy that day and I really want to land my trick which I wasn't capable of landing the day earlier, so I jumped and the wind blew me right off, just got away with a concussion lol

Halfway down a tree run in whis I was about to stop and take a piss/joint break and told my buddy to hold up so I start taking off my gloves and heard this scratching noise coming from the tree I was standing in front of. I look up and see this decently sized cub hanging on to the tree at eye level, close enough to poke it with my ski pole if I was so retardedly inclined. I had to book it out of there incase the momma was near.
