Jskis or ar7s

I feel like these skis would be too long for you based off of your spelling.

ok, if you weren't wrong i could see why this would even be a question, but you are wrong so i will help you out before answering.

first. jskis is technically a new company yes, but it is owned by jason levinthal. this is important because the man literally invented the first marketed twin tip skis. he started line skis out of his garage and is widely credited with starting the sport of park skiing as we know it today. jason knows "what he is doing" more than any person ever. i would trust that man more than any other person on earth to build a pair of park focused skis. seeing as he hand builds/oversees the building of every pair of jskis produced i would put money on the fact that you couldn't find a better all around park ski anywhere. not to mention jason levinthal is the fucking man. exactly one person has come into the ski shop i work at with a pair of jskis for a tune, he said they were the best planks he had ever ridden. plus the graphics are dope as hell.

in short: jskis actually knows what they are doing better than anyone, jskis are fucking sick, buy jskis.

but its up to you bud both are great skis you will have fun on either, but id go with jskis.

i purchased a pair of jskis right off the bat and they came with some weird issues. the tip and tail edge was too thick so they popped out after a month of use. i emailed jason and he was super helpful and sent out a new pair with no edge around the tip and tail. I havnt had a chance to ride them yet since i broke my foot pretty promptly after our discussion but i really hope they are better than the first pair. i also break skis like its my job, maybe im too fat to be a rail rat

AR7's are great if your an east coaster. They kill it in the park but also have the ability to shred some seriously gnarly steeps.

Since they don't have an early rise in tip or tail they track great on hard pack BUT preform sub par in spring conditions.

Cant comment on Jskis since i don't have a pair, but they looks fucking awesome and my next pair may be from him.

Technically J Skis just started, but Jason Levinthal has been making skis for a long time with Line (which he started)... But then again Line Skis tend to break often... 0_0

I'm pretty sure they completely stopped using tip and tail edge in their skis, they recently posted a picture of the new 'twisters' and they didn't have any tip or tail edge. But then again they could just be making a specific pair without tip or tail edge, like they did for you. And in all honesty, I don't see the reason why there should be tip and tail edge in park skis, like what are the benefits of having them(besides maybe being like a bumper if you slam into a tree/rail or something)?

- As far as satisfaction, I've got a 100% satisfaction guarantee, ski them for a few days and if you don't like them, send them back for no questions asked full refund
- Regarding tip durability & construction. I did stop wrapping ski edge around the tip. This dramatically reduces risk of delam, reduces weight and there is no point to an edge on your tip. Since I've done this we've seen over 3x more tip durability.
- I my skis are different in a good way. Other skis you may be considering were developed years ago and have not changed since. I designed these skis this past winter based on my past 20 years of experience and put all of it into an innovative shape that skis up to your expectations of today's tricks and performance & durability, not the past.

i have mixed feelings about when levinthal markets directly to people in the gear talk forums. no hate jlev, much respect, but part of me thinks orange names should stay out of the gear talk forum, at least in comparison threads

i also didn't like seeing him hurrying some kid into buying the skis, the dude was like okay i might be placing an order tomorrow and jlev was like if you have the money tomorrow you have it today! which, apart from not necessarily being true at all, is sort of a weird way to pressure someone who could very well be like 13. idk just my 2 cents

I think it's great when Brands/Orange Names come and talk about their product, I think it actually shows that they care because they take their time and actually come and discuss their product. Rather have people industry come and talk about their products then just be left in the dark and rely on other people's opinions/ideas.

i have heard nothing but good about j skis. jason knows what hes doing. AND- if you dont like the skis you get, YOU CAN SEND THEM BACK. so you cant go wrong with j skis.
