It all depends on what youre trying to do.

Like I skate strictly pool/transition, so Im riding a 8.75 Creature, independents, Bones Red, and some OJ Hosoi Classics 56mm.

For street?

Id give a 8.25 a try. Wider decks are just generally more fun, unless youre trying to be all rodney mullen, then go smaller.

Along with width, it also depends if you mind it being heavy or not. Bombproof boards are going to be heavier, and suffer through more abuse. Id check out Creature Gravette, but tbh, if you dont really know whats up yet, go get a blank deck at a 8.25 from a local shop. Theyll last as long as most pro decks (if you get the right one) and you can get 2 for the price of a pro board. If youre set on getting a pro deck, check out Creature, Deathwish, Almost, and Enjoi. Theyre all bombproof, and long term companies that know what theyre doing.

Wheel size for street? 52-54. A bigger size is harder to pick up on speed, but will roll over more stuff without a problem, and maintain that speed. Some great companies that will last are the OJs, various spitfires, and Ricta are cream of the crop.

Bearings - Bones Red are always a GREAT choice. Last for a long time, and they have a good speed to them. I also loved my Shake Junct bearings.

Trucks - Independent ALL DAY. Youll grind through the axle LONG before you would ever snap them. Just look at their team, all super heavy hitters.

Enjois are NOT durable. I know multiple people who have had tails and noses snap within 1 week to 1 month.


Heres some sort of list you asked for (these are only from decks I have used/owned)

Shitty-Enjoi, Plan B, Cliche, Blind

Heavy- Stereo, Foundation, Chocolate is a little heavy

Well made- IF bakers didnt break then definetly up here, Chocolate/Girl, Habitat, Blacklabel.

Theres are a list I personally made from a list of boards I own/have owned. Honestly try anything you see at the shop, just dont get any of the shitty ones i listed.

Obviously they're not well made if they break... my enjoi deck has not once broke and it's been smashed against walls, streets, curbs, railings. Thing is bomb proof

All boards break in the end. Lets be honest.

Never had a problem except with Plan B which was a friends and felt dead. Had good experiences with Chocolate, Element, Lib Tech, Real.

Trucks everyone is on indy's nuts. They're good but there are other quality companies as well. I've had thunders for quite a while and I have no complaints

This. All boards will break and ime no brand is really better than another. It's more important to find a shape you like.

i would recommend Reals. I swear by real decks as i had a real for the past 5 decks. They are very durable, and have different tines of concave to suit your personal preference. My favorite has to be the "mellow" line which has a nice mellow concave, without being entirely flat. For trucks i would stick to thunder and Indy, wheels are bones all day erryday, most wheels aren't bad, but i would stay away from ricta, not the best experiences where had with those wheels. For grip, i like shake june because it isn't too grippy like mob, but it sure has some great grip, and it won't eat shoes like mob. Bearing are bones super reds, have had them for the last 3 wheel setups and they have lasted amazingly.
