I have - from what I found out they surgically cut it out. But, then they boot me in a boot for a few weeks. I'm going on a ski trip with some friends in a week though (NZ) and I dont want to be booted for that :/
I have the same problem. You're going to laugh, but... superglue. It actually works for me haha. I just put it around were I normally have pain and its like a shell. Up to you, but it works for me.
Op if you are going to ski regardless get your boots fitted well. If you get good custom footbeds and then have the big toe blown out you should have no problems. The footbeds are the most inportant part and will make such a big improvement.
