Summer jibs

would building a summer jib be worth it? i know it would be a lot of fun but is sliding pvc tubes similar to sliding metal rails/would what i learn carry over to snow easily?

yeah it's the exact same thing, sometimes I find doing a trick on my setup harder than in the park, because of the speed issues, the fact I have to hike back to the top, etc... If you put some time in it, you can really expand your bag of tricks and get a lot more consistent

Yes. Rail game is something %99 percent comfort and muscle memory.

The more you hit a rail(successfully) the more you get comfortable. There is a point where tricks that were once hard become easy. It's sort of like hiking a flat box in the park for part of the day learning a trick except you can do it all year long any time.

If you feel confident on a trick on a backyard rail, and confident on a rail or box in the park it's the same thing and will easily apply.

Also seems to be far easier to progress. Random off season seshes seem to make it easier to throw down. At least for me there were something I'd think about a little bit on the cold/bullet proof ice coast park laps that I wouldn't if I was shredding a friends setup.

Also friends are helpful for progression. The more the merrier. The better they are, the better you'll get. Make friends with somebody that puts you to shame, and they'll push you to progressive much faster than you would on your own.

mine took one saturday and 50 bucks. Its so worth it and super fun to hit all the time, such as erryday after school.

How easy is it to practice 270 ons? Or is everything too sticky and you just end up catching edges

That really depends on how you build your inrun. More specifically, the lip.

I can 270 on as easily on my setup as I can on snow. If you have the speed and the right lip it should be fine.

I kind of fucked up when I built this, as you can see the lip is very flat and almost a drop.



I'm going to do every possible trick/rail combo/whatever that I can before I inevitably re do the lip. But it's great for everything besides 2's on.

Got it on a sale a year or more ago. It cost me like 120$ for all that. Don't remember exactly how many sq ft of mSnow that is.

It's absurdly expensive at full price.
