Ending rails early

It seems that in almost every edit out there excluding crews shooting for full parts, skiers comes off rails feet before the end...

Honestly, any shot of me or anyone else coming off early doesn't deserve it's place in an edit, just like a missed grab or a backslap. if i miss my rail, i'm jsut gonna hike back up til i eventually get the trick down. I think it would be the same for just about any newschooler

99% of the time its bad. if its for the sake of style or part of a trick (like if there were a small tranny to the side and you intentionally came off early to get it) its fine. or one thing i like doing on dfd's is sliding the first down, dropping off on the other side, and jumping on for the last down again. in that case, it would be fine

early off's for life... but really, you're watching the wrong videos man. Either they come off early and you like what you see or you don't, but whoever put it in must have though it was impressive enough to them, it's just a matter of personal preference.
