Advice to yourself a year ago

If you could send a letter or text or something to yourself a year ago, what would it say?

I would probably tell myself to ignore Alexis and talk to Jordan, work at Northstar, don't fuck around during the school year, and invest in dogecoin, because who knew that joke would actually be worth something.

I would have told myself to apply to more ski related colleges lol at my priorities.
I would have warned myself that my grandpa would have a stroke on Christmas, and maybe that would have saved him.
I would have reminded myself not to eat the cake that sent me into a full blown allergic reaction on my birthday. (Thanking my mom for buying a cake I was allergic to)
I would have told myself not to take Public Speaking. The class blows.
I would have told myself to have more fun with senior year, and that it really goes by fast as hell.
And I would have kept everything else a surprise I guess! haha

Also that college actually requires hard work to do well in, and to not bring all of your weed to parties because you're going to get too drunk and lose 5 ounces and never know who took it.

I would really want to fuck with the small things in life and for the big picture I'd tell myself to just keep on.

If there's something going wrong you need to look to the future. Looking to past mistakes is helpful if you learn from them, but dwelling on the what could have's won't get you anywhere.

Life isn't perfect, just gotta try and make peace with everything, accept that there are things you can't change, and move forward in a positive direction.

Yeah, I think a lot can change in a year. Some years more than others, but I look back at myself 12 months ago and can notice changes in my world view and outlook on life most definitely. As well as many decisions that I don't necessarily regret, but would be interested to pursue another path or two and see where it could have gone.

At this exact time last year, I was in a psychiatric hospital for suicide, drug/alcohol abuse, and anxiety. So yes I'd say so.

Id tell myself not to goto the liquor store that night, and to have called my family earlier for help.
