You know what? Fuck yeah, Bradford City.... first Chelsea now the dirty mackems? I absolutely love that little club. A friend of mine here in Sacramento actually supports them since hes from very close to Bradford, so it's been insane watching the last two cup ties with him.

PSG are extremely hard to beat at home, they haven't lost a European match at home turf since 2006, it's a statistic but one that isn't a fluke.

Predicting this is hard, PSG indeed has a ton of injuries, Cabaye/Marquinhos/Pastore/Aurie/Moura are all out Matuidi might make it in time, that said the Brazilian Best Friends Forever wall in centre is intact and when your subs include people such as Lavezzi...

And then there is always Ibrahimovic, if he has his day, it's over for his favourite coach. If he finds his Zlatan zone PSG has won.

good stat. it will be a hard game for both teams no doubt and its odds on to be a draw but i just think chelsea have to take advantage of a 'weaker' paris team. as you said the paris def is still very strong and I've just read the fabagas could miss the game due to illness. i always look forward to watching Zlatan.

should be a great game.

Atrocious game, Chelsea indeed parked the bus, PSG stayed quite docile until a few movements in the 2nd half. Ibra had one moment that would have been a great goal weren't it for Courtious being lofty.
Also, this should have been a penalty. God Ramires is a sneaky cunt:

That was one lacklustre game indeed and poor Huntelaar, last year they also got destroyed but at least he made a cracking goal back then, better then all 6 of RM's goals combined.

Shittiest reffing I've seen this season during the Chelsea game. Matic deserved the red for sure but no way should Barnes stay on for that tackle it could've been much worse for Matic. Also missed one clear penalty and one arguable one for Chelsea.

Yeah dodgy ass reffing from that Chelsea match. If I remember correctly it was minutes 30, 33, 43 and 69 from all the conversation afterwards aswell. And the challenge on Matic was ridiculous, I genuinely thought his leg had broken.

They'll probably just go ahead and fine Mourinho. It isn't only Chelsea, but reffing has been pretty shitty this season.

Yea the quality of reffing this year has been just awful. All over the table too, unlike in the past where certain teams seemed to be in favor.

Can't complain too much about this weekend though, as an arsenal fan.

It's just unbelievable how consistently Tottenham manage to come from behind with less than 10 minutes remaining. Harry Kane is quality. I almost feel bad for them that inevitably, they'll sell him at a huge profit then waste that money on 15 garbage players.

Speaking of terrible reffing, poor Southampton getting boned by the ref multiple times, including two almost certain penalties in my book. Could have changed the game drastically.

yeah i know it happens to different clubs and players. i'm not one of those who thinks there is a conspiracy against Chelsea (some media pundits are stupidly biased but that's not what we're talking about here). but some refs will treat certain clubs and especially players differently. diego costa has been booked twice for diving this season (despite never diving) plus the no call this weekend. there use to be all those stories of fergie time and sir alex busting refs balls do get called more favorably. suarez was another one who's "reputation" hurt him.

i think the three main problems are shitty refs, no accountability for the refs or FA when shit like that happens, and no consistency with the FA in their judgments and punishments (bet you if it was england captain gerrard who shoved barnes like that he'd be off free).

i usually subscribe to the viewpoint that calls will even each other out over a season. but when four blatant fuck ups happen like against burnley it really grinds my gears, can't think of such a bad ref performance for Chelsea since barcelona 2009. i supposed it's better to lose 2 points in one match with 4 no calls than have 4 important no calls happen in 4 different matches potentially costing ~8 points.

so got on a multi tonight for this weekends games

chelsea vs tottenham for the league cup

in the last 5 games theres been 21 goals scored.... 21. chelsea have been in poor form recently and the spurs are a solid team. cant pick a winner there. can see it going to extra time.

didnt have a lot of time this week so just went for some quick bets. obviously barca, real, bayern and leverkusen are all big favourites. barca not paying that much but after they completely walked all over city its pretty much printed money. im liking leverkusen after their athletico upset this week.

i dont think i will be backing dortmund for a win for a long time. after such a dreadful start to the season they are just so unpredictable. they are favourites over Shalke even though theyre 8 positions lower on the table. i think theyll win, and hope they do, but just not putting any money on it for the moment.

Sydney derby is usually 50/50. very hard to pick a winner. Western sydney have just won the asian cup, with horrible league form. been a couple of months now so they have settled down a bit. both teams can score and recent match ups are usually at 2.5 over, went the safe bet with BTTS.


hopefully i do well this weekend, i have a tattoo booked for 3/15 and have $0 for it so far.

or australia ? the US had it in 94 why the fuck should they get it again. thats ridiculous.

it came down to aus, us and qatar as the final three for 2022, and australia was the only legitimate choice.

Australia already has the infrastructure required, and can host a big sporting event successfully. as evidenced by the 2000 olympic games, and we had the afc asian cup last year.

More likely the world cup is going to ruin Qatar.

So many controversies about it. It's absolute nonsense.

I am however excited for Euro 2020 being spread across multiple countries. I like the way that each country will be able to play a part, even if the final is still in a predetermined location. Euro was becoming too much of a centralized European world cup, especially with the expansion in teams. Can guarantee no work will be accomplished in most European countries during that tournament.

Wolfsburg are for sure favourites, but I dont think it will be easy to get by Inter, who are finally getting their shit together.

To be fair, Liverpool do seem to be coasting by on some goals that are sheer luck more than anything. Excellent to watch, and definitely skillful, but you can't mount a proper challenge on the basis of your 35 yard screamers going in.

Well done by arsenal today. Everton had few good chances, and arsenal continued to somehow miss the target from five yards several times, but got it when it counted.

I hate them more than United, but they look very very good this year. The triple is on. They probably won't get it, but they're definitely in with a shot.

I would say we're just below Bayern, Barca, Real but maybe a little above PSG and City. We certainly have a chance to win it all, I would say we're 4th favorites, but it will be very hard to do so, first we need to hold of PSG at home and move on from there.

There's about 7 teams that all have a great chance at promotion this year (incl. Ipswitch hehe). The Top is very close in the 2nd tier.

Clear penalties don't seem to be something today in the PL. Leicester have had 2 shouts, and as much as I hate to say it, they were both clear penalties. One wasn't given, the other was given as a free kick right on the edge.
