snowballsdeepI'm not sure about to legal issues with these as the company 2x4 makes them for woodward and I'm not sure if there is a patient on them so until i figure it out i can't give you specific instructions on a how to. but i would be more them happy to make these given that there isn't a patent on them already, someone look? but I'm thinking i may know how to make them carve we shall see later. also i plan on making the foam pit with 6000 blocks of free foam from a local foam pit a gym gave to me.. pretty stoked

Hmm its kinda tricky. If you could figure out a way to improve on their product, you could win big, sell them and get a patent of your own. Or you could not give a fuck and keep doing what you're doing, which is already sick. Props either way, this is awesome.
Sorry guys been busy today just graded my area flate where I'm putting the pit and now I'm washing all the blocks .. There's 6000 so I may take awhile. I'll try to get a video up soon. But also Woodward wouldn't own the patent the company who makes them 2x4 sports would. I'll look into it later tonight after I drop the lady freind off ;)

I'm pretty sure he's in or graduated from law school. Whether or not he's in patent law specifically, i'm not sure but I am pretty confident he's got more knowledge on this than the average bear.

It depends on whether your design infringes on the patent or not.
If you sell a kit to make it you're effectively selling the product. Same thing if you're distributing the design.
However, since you're skis are adaptations of real skis and woodwards are a completely new product, plus all other patents that describe adaptations to skis revolve around attaching wheels to the side of skis, you may not be infringing any patents. I don't know.
mine look allot like these but i didn't angle the wheels with the ski side walls i made them point straight which is where i think i messed up the articulation of the ski is where it would get its turn capabilities .. hmm and raining here today so no video today

Can you fix it? As in, try it out, see if it's awful, then use a dremel to route out a new angle and epoxy the new wheel brace spots in place?

as iv said twice, its not done yet but anyhow i got all the foam free so that was a big part of it and allot of the stuff to make it is coming from the free side of CL or finding that shit on the side of the road but I'm guessing ill have to pay 400$ for everything i have to buy, treated wood, big cover, foam pit bottom and bungee to attach it and concert and drainage. but thats not including diesel i use from my equipment while building it. if you don't have a dump truck you'll have to pay someone to haul the dirt so you have that and dig the pit but i also have a front loader so I'm good there. but its no small task but iv been preparing for years so i have a plan in place.

Op, there is no issue with patents if it is your rendition (clearly) and you're not trying to make a profit (also pretty clear). You should go ahead and post instructions of how you made them, because even if they are exactly the same as Woodward's, you made them. It's something like public domain or artist's interpretation or something like that. They can't do shit.
