Help for binding choice??

hey, i have el reys and im center mounting them any idea for a good binding like specific bindings for park and pow or not idk my din is like usually 4 or five im around 100 punds and im 14

Marker Squire

Cheap, designed for light people park skiing. Kind of like a baby griffon or Jester (they use the same drill pattern to so if you put on weight you can always upgrade to griffons)

Agreed, for your weight the squire will be fine.

Rossi fks 140...din starts at 4 so you will have room to grow in them. Killer binding, best out there in my opinion

It all comes down to what you want like and can afford. The look/Rossis are a little more but still a great choice along with the squires.

The FKS140 starts at had a range of 5-14, so it is not a good choice for him. Maybe in a year or two, but not right now.

buy right or buy twice. if you intend to keep them for a while buy something good. a little higher cost upfront but you'll save $ down the road.

Not a good choice, the DIN range is much to high for someone of his weight. I also assume with his binding at a 4 he isn't a particularly aggressive skier so I see no point in him spending over $300 on a binding like that.

He says he has his at 4 or 5 and the fks start at 4 or 5...he will be fine and have room to grow

Absolute lowest DIN for any of the FKS models is 5, if he runs a 4 or a 5 you don't want a binding that starts at 5 the top end of what he uses. Especially in a binding that is built so that you don't need a high DIN to stay in. And you never want to "grow into" safety gear. Growing into a pair of skis or a coat is one thing, growing into something thats been precision engineered to prevent injury is not something you want to do. There are plenty of bindings that start at a 4 and have way enough adjustment to work for him all the way till he's fully grown. Lets be honest if its only 100lb at 14 there is probably never going to be a need for him for a binding that goes to 14 or 18 like the FKS

Pretty sure that it's a myth that you dshouldn't run your din at rite extreme. Anyways there's the fks 120 and pivot 12.

Bindings will still perform consistently at the top NA bottom en of the din range. You may find that if you have t din maxed out the spring may where out slightly faster as it's per mantle compressed.

As for the op just get a decent 10-12 din binding Squires, sth 12 os or peak 11 would be my suggestions.
