Recommendations whilst visiting New York?

I'll be visiting NYC end of June for 5 days and I'm looking for stuff to do in/around Manhattan. I'm staying on Park Ave but I've been to NY a bunch of times before so already visited all the 'tourist' spots.

Looking for recommendations of cool/quirky places I can check out. I skateboard, wakeboard, crossfit and (obviously) ski so anything related would be great. Also wanna check out some good shopping - where's the best for skate/hipster type stuff?

Check out The Stand or the Comedy Cellar, both great comedy clubs. I've only been to the stand a few times though, not the latter. Great time always

Take the NJ transit or PATH from either Penn or WTC and head to dirty jerz. Go to the meadowlands and shred Xanuda.

Sickest dome skiing in the world.

Someone above mentioned Brooklyn Brewery which is always a good spot. Now that it is nice out the rooftop bars are starting to open. There are a few new ones down by the Highline. Brass Monkey on Little West 12th St is a good one.
If you want to shop for skater/hipster shit Soho is a good starting point but Broadway in Soho on a Saturday is a shitshow. If you want hipster style you can head to Williamsburg BK. you can knock out the Brewery and shopping in one day.

don't forget to do all the touristy stuff too, at least walk through times square, see the empire state building, check out central park. you don't have to spend a whole day doing that stuff, but it is still worthwhile

Make sure you rent a bike and do the green path.. Great time. If you google map directions click on bike routes and it will route you the bike friendly way

Those things seem like a terrible deal. I'd rather just offer somebody a couple bucks for a shitty bike then sell it or give it away before leaving.

Visit me on Long Island! Theres also millions of things to do in the city like walking along the highline or just hangin in central park. Also some awesome places to eat for cheap.
