moeskibum23I'm interested in buying some new speakers... I've saved a lot, I'm thinking of B and O's, anyone on NS with some experience with them?
I have no experience with Bang and Olufson or B and O's
I do have experience with Bang & Olufsen (B&O)
They are overpriced in terms of sound quality and mostly style over substance, get them for their design, unless we are talking about the BeoLab 5 then you can actually say you got them for the sound.
One of the most appealing parts of B&O is the master/powerlink system which allows you to hook everything in all the different rooms in your home up together but this does mean everything has to be B&O. Their soundstage is mostly very neutral and works best with classical music. And very clean, to clean even according to some people.
Other benefits: great resale value and you can impress your golf buddies with how crisp the high notes are at ear drum piercing volume on your BeoLab 5's, and how they complement your minimalist room.
Go to your local dealer and just take time to listen to them.
