So this is a pretty taboo topic, but I'm drunk and don't really give a fuck.

This "community" is full of the stereotypical homophobic "ew faggot" kind of bullshit. The whole masculine thug thing that runs rampant among members of this website is rude and ridiculous. My question to NS is, how many of you have ever had a homosexual experience or any kind of thoughts of that nature. Scratch that, do any of you even support it?? I doubt any of you will admit it, considering the whole NS thing runs basically counterculture to the gay community. I'm not trying to make a statement, I just want to turn this into reasonable discussion.

i never said there was anything wrong with just thinking it, i said go ahead. How isnt marriage is freedom though, killing someone is a freedom, everything is freedom. However some freedoms may infringe on someone else's freedoms and only those are the ones that someone should be allowed to restrict, the most obvious being murder.

Why is moronic, because one is harder to hide? They are both just as ridiculous, you are restricting someone's freedom for how they are even if they have no choice about it.

Still, I'll keep pointing out that homosexuality is not a choice and that the Bible is not the only book in the world without any factual evidence that people interpret in many ways.

I don't really care about this topic but I might as well say my opinion. For any of you non believers that think god is wrong, then why has evolution (if you believe in it) also proven that homosexuality is unsustainable for life. Two males can't reproduce and neither can two females. Now that proves without heterosexuals there isn't life. But if two people of the same gender want to "make love" then that's their choice.

Do you really believe the pinnacle of human relationships is procreation? I personally would hope that we have a lot more to gain from an intimate relationship than just offspring. Didn't jesus teach a "live and let live" philosphy? Matthew 22:39 quote jesus as saying "Love your neighbor as yourself" that seems like a pretty strong argument for equality in my opinion.

please refer to the article I linked. Homosexualtiy in species (except for those lesbian lizards) is unsustainable for the species, however practicing it for sexual stimulant is frequent and practiced by many species.

Oh absolutely, it just tends to be the even smaller minorities in a weaker civilization that get the harshest punishments of all. Unless of course we're discussing acts in which an entire population is subject to cruelty regardless of differences inside the culture. (crusades and slavery for example)

Do a little research and you'll find it leans toward either the former or homosexuals suffering more; I posted a link earlier of a general history (Wikipedia, I know) of such discrimination. Temporally, few aside from Jewish people have experienced it.

monkeys/apes are massive rapists, dolphins are known to surround females and rape them, ducks rape females and corpses, the list goes on forever

Because animals are unable to make "conscious" decisions such as consent, they are equally unable to be "gay" or "straight"

I havn't thought of that take. I think I was looking more at the behavioral side than conscious side.
Add humans to that list too.
With the exception of the asexual Cnemidophorus neomexicanus (or New Mexico whiptail Lizard) that is true.

I don't feel I'm naive as much as hopefully I wonder sometimes if we could get beyond race, gender and sexuality issues. Even better just see people as people and realize that we're all connected on this spinning piece of rock in the middle of space.

This. The biggest hypocrisy is that most gay marriage supporters claim they support marriage equality for everybody, but don't support legalizing incestuous marriage or polygamy.

Claiming equality as a reason for gay marriage is extra ridiculous because gays and straights already have exactly equal marriage rights. A gay can marry a woman just like any straight man. Saying gay marriage laws discriminate against gays is like saying cocaine laws discriminate against cocaine users. Just because you want to do something that you're not allowed to doesn't mean you're being discriminated against.

As far as the workplace, I've only experienced it from the other side. One mountain I worked at for 3 years had to deal with a douche boss going around and telling kids to not be friends with me because I was gay. I drove over an hour each way on shit roads to work my ass off and barely make any profit after gas to try and build a good park for the kids. I didn't do anything about it because I did want the attention from people like you. "Gay man tries to ruin the careers of everyone around him because he's gay....."

You can believe what ever the fuck you want to believe, but if it's ignorant as fuck you might want to keep it to yourself.

Read more carefully next time. I'm well aware that many states still ban gay marriage. However, gay people can still marry people of the opposite sex completely legally, and straight people still cannot marry people of the same sex. Whether you're gay or straight, you still have the exact same marriage rights.

And I didn't really compare gay marriage to incest. I simply said that if you support gay marriage on the basis of equality, it would be intellectually dishonest not to support incestuous marriage.

Well, I could still have sex with women and I could still live with the woman I loved. Not having the government recognize our union would be a mild nuisance, but nothing I couldn't live with. And as long as I could still marry just the same as everybody else, I wouldn't call it discriminatory or unequal.

In most states, however, it is a felony to have sex with somebody in your family. Why is that so? For the same reason many people oppose gay marriage: they find it disgusting. Why are gay marriage supporters so adamant about freedom and equality when it comes to gays but so quick to change the subject when it comes to incest? Incestuous couples are actually being incarcerated for their sexual preferences. Surely this is a more important issue than gays having fewer hospital visitation rights because of their sexual preference.
