UW Greek

You will ski less and party more. The Greek system here sucks you in like few other things. It's a whole separate world. If you're willing to make that plunge, then do it. Everyone has to decide that for themselves. I didn't fit in, and decided it wasn't for me. That being said, if you're gonna do it, there are better choices. I'll let Ian and Seth lobby for their houses whenever they see this thread.
Also, although you may see a lot of cars with ski/board stickers in the Greek system, few of them are actually as serious about it as we are on NS. If they were, I would have met way more of them in the actual mountains.

I'm in a frat, I like it, I still ski a lot in the winter. I would say school gets in the way of skiing more than parties do. A lot of kids in my house ski as well so thats cool. PM me if you have any questions.

it's a bunch of rich white kids... of course a few of them are going to "shred" haha I wouldn't making skiing a deciding factor

Overall I've had a great experience in the greek system but there are positives and negatives (like everything you do), one of the worst being that it lacks an openness with the rest of the UW community. As for skiers go, there are a few dudes in different houses that go up on a decent basis (20+ times a year), but there aren't many actual shredders. There are only a few of us from the entire greek system that actually go up 40+ that I know of, but it doesn't matter cuz we link up with whoever we want anyways.

Depends on the type of person you are and what you are looking for in your college experience but you CAN ski as many days you want if you're motivated enough. Tons of skiers in and out of the greek system but to name some frats for you to contact with skiers: Chi psi, alpha delts, TDX, Lambdas, sig ep, etc

I'm not into greek, but one of my HS friends who was a giant nerd/virgin/awkward-fuck rushed and got in. He gets a lot of girls, has a ton of fun, and is much more social, outgoing, and even more friendly person.

Wouldn't be my choice of lifestyle, but for the right people its the perfect environment.

Just dont become an alcoholic class skipping burnout by winter break.

just get acquainted with people in the frats and just go down to party every once in a while?
