Tumble_WeaveI am planning on getting a t3i. It will be used mostly for urban pan shots and maybe a bit for follow cams. Because i am on the east coast weather is a major issue. What can i do to keep it out of the elements without breaking the bank? +K for help
I have a canon T3i as well and also live on the east coast and this weather can fuck up cameras but I had mine out in some shitty weather and it help up fine. I had to fix mind in a pinch so i electrical taped every hole like the mic and around the lens (I used electrical tape) and it worked fine no issues or problems. The only thing you need to be careful of is getting water inside from the lens as well as when you go inside the lens with get condensation because of temperature change/ Just makes sure you dont changed lenses in the snow and dont changes battery's in the snow because it may end up getting in the camera. But mine was used this whole season in Rain, Snow, Sleet, Fog, (tiny bit of hail at killington) and very very very cold temperatures and also make sure when you store your camera there is nothing wet near or around it. I recommend a pelican case. If yiou want more info or ideas/tips for what i do in thios weird as East Coast Weather just pm. Onne last thought some people use plastic bags in a pinch (ive done it) and the silicon bodies can sometimes shift and cause water to get trapped between the body of the camera and the silicon case
