The 2014 Newschoolers AP Test

Hello NS!
AP tests are in full swing, and I'm sure some of you by now are stressing to the max. Well, I'm here to tell you that your struggle is far from over.

It's time for the AP Newschoolers exam.

The exam will include:

- (40) multiple choice questions designed to test your knowledge of NS history (2001-Present)

- (2) Document based questions to be answered through an essay in which sources are cited in the text. (Documents will be: Videos, photos, articles and other NS content)

- (1) Free Response Question to be answered through an essay in which the writer will be challenged to expand on the topic provided in a true free-form fashion.

Examinees will be tested on their knowledge of the history and content of newschoolers.com (2001-Present), the history of skiing (Early civilizations-Present) as well as information about Professional skiers, Famous NSers, Past and present moderators, Edits, Films, Photos, Forums, and general knowledge of the ski world.

The test will take place on June 1, 2014 12:00 P.M. EST and will close 24 hours later on June 2, 2014.

Scores will be measured on the traditional AP scale (1-5), but weighted equally (multiple choice: 50%, FRQ/DBQ's: 50%)

The test will taken using Microsoft Word and will be administered via email.

And a little incentive: the member who receives the highest total score wins a prize pack including stickers and soft goods. In addition, anyone who receives a passing score (a 3 or higher) will be mailed a certificate applauding their excellence.
