I have to innovate something for my engineer class and I don't know what to make..
I made an iPhone case, and wanted to make pole baskets and handles, but couldn't get the dimensions.
If you come up with something really clever, that I an actually make I will make you a phone case(if my teacher lets me print it.)
ive always wanted big fat dildos that fit over ski pole handles. so when your friends go in for lunch, you just slip them over their grips and force them to ride with them. OR ELSE
Obviously print a gun. The plans are available online. Just bring a bullet in, print the gun, and get an A in the class. So easy! Oh, I think you have to bring your own metal firing pin but other than that the printer can take care of the rest.
Yeah, flies great. I went through a few sets of props and took several hours messing with the flight controller to get it to fly good, but it is pretty sweet especially since it is so small. If I order some more props I'll post a video of it flying around.
whoa-derehigh school? i wish my hs was this cool
High School indeed, we don't have a 3d printer at the school. I designed this in a 3d Cad program and had it printed on makexyz.com

Dude.. come on now.... You're in an "engineering class" (going to assume this is HS [PLTW?] or a community college) but you cant even take the one single caliper measurement thats needed to design a basket/grip? Fuckin hell... it wouldnt even be hard to use no exact tolerance and make a wedged entry to fit anything from .2"-2"
I didnt mean to come off as a dick in this post but wtf man....thats an entire 3 minutes of drafting + 6 minutes converting + 4 hrs printing....(which your teacher will prob do steps 2 n 3)
Because this is a sector that I actually believe in and think is going to blow up in a few years, I am more then willing to help you out. Answer a few questions for me and I'll make sure you have the most badass print that will ever be created within your classroom.
You wont even need to send me that iPhone case you ripped from shapeways and extruded your name/landscape on to.
-What printer are you using in the lab
-What filament or material are you using (PLA, ABS, something more extreme?)
-Did your teacher give you a maximal material usage value (Weight? Time? Size[Other than print bed] size)
-Is your teacher cool or some fuckin lame?
-Which drafting program are you proficient in? (any AutoDesk?[Inventor? AutoCad?] SketchUp? Blender?)
-Anything else I should know? Available AcidBath? Passion for hentai pron?
No effort needed.
Make a 100% 3d printable custom dildo to rek your anus.
It will even let you download a ready2print STL file.
if the teacher asks ... its just some sort of ancient sculpture. Tell um the resolution of the printer is terrible so he should consider asking for a large grant to replace it

We'll I just didn't really want to bring a ski like into class... I could probably disassemble it
And I didn't rip that phone case off, we have to measure every little detail on everything we make in that class, then design the object using the program Inventor.

bruu you answered none of the questions..
You dont have to bring shit in to class besides the dimensions. Take a piece of string and wrap it around the pole and you have the dimension you need. Or trace it on paper and measure. If you want to make is really close or similar to the existing ones get some other dimensions of the baskets/grips (width, height, etc)
Once you have that its a matter of a couple simple extrusions, work planes and a rotation. If you are able to make a phone case this should be easy mode. Your real issue is the material. Baskets are usually made of a soft plastic with good cold temp tolerance. Certain filaments become very brittle when cold and will snap in ski conditions.
Want to innovate something relevant to skiing?
Design a wall mounting bracket for your ski gear.
Want to show up everyone in your class including your teacher?
Make a modular wall mount for your skis/poles with a handle that allows you to "lift and go" your gear to the mountain.
