Owner of Powdr Corp (Cummings Family) buys controling share of Snowbird, Vail is uninvolved

Some of you probably remember the rumors of Snowbird being for sale. Dick (the former owner) still has a share, but it is now partly owned by Ian Cumming/Powdr Corp, the owners of Park City Mountain Resort (among other ski areas). The sale already happened, everything is confirmed. Good news for everyone (including me) who was concerned Vail would try to get their filthy hands on Snowbird.

Actually, I'm not sure if it was Powdr Corp or Ian Cumming doing so independently, but either way, it's one of the PCMR/Powdr Corp guys.

Nope. Vail is trying to take over Park City Mountain Resort, not Powdr Corp (the company that runs PCMR). If they do get PCMR, it won't affect Snowbird or any other ski area owned by Powdr Corp. And if Vail does win, Powdr Corp will remove the lifts from PCMR. Either way, Vail loses.

this article posted a few days ago doesn't say much about a one pass for multiple places, just that PCMR pass holders can get smokin deals on tickets at bird. which is cool, but i want to be able to ski both places, that would save people a ton of money. im cool with throwin down the bones for a bird pass though, that place is unreal.
