Official Best Worst Movie Thread

I live in a small city in the middle of nowhere and have nothing to do tonight, so after some time perusing Netflix, I'm now watching Fast Five.

This got me thinking (because no thinking is required watching Fast Five), there is a thread about movies that were supposed to be good, but sucked. This is a thread is about movies are bad, but still awesome. Maybe they were supposed to be good, maybe not. It doesn't matter.

What are your favourite bad-but-still-awesome movies?

My ultimate go-to bad movie is Independence Day:


Huge disaster movies (Day After Tomorrow, Twister, etc)



Obviously the Fast and Furious movies are on the list

A lot of slasher movies could fall into this category. I know what you did last summer sucked but I loved it.


Pretty much anything that has a shitty plot but still is entertaining.

10 Things is a great movie. We had a copy of it at the ski shop I worked in and would put that in the rotation with ski movies.

Also, A Princess Bride and Romancing the Stone are awesome too.

theBearJewWell just about any Nick Cage movie really.


Nic Cage is pretty much the king of the bad-but-still-awesome movie genre.

Just watched vanilla sky for the first time last time. Knew it had pretty much horrible reviews across the board but felt like watching it. Maybe it was because I was half conscious but I really liked it.

It was more of a psychological thriller than anything.


Also I second nic cage movies. I feel like keanu should be in there as well.

Nic cages bad movies are better though.

It looked pretty bad. I made the mistake of going and seeing "Open water". Shit was painful. Honestly frozen looked like the same kind of thing.

Also funny that rotten tomatoes has open water rated pretty well and some pretty good movies rated shit. That site is a fucking joke.
