Halo 2 vs alpha x

ok so i know everyone hates these threads, but oh well. i want and all mountain park ski, but i cant decide between the two. im leaning toward halo 2s cus theyre buttery and i like pressing, nollying, ect. im just worried about the halo 2s at high speed and chopped up snow. The alpha x would be prime but i dont want a ski neccesarily that stiff. im 6ft 1 inch 160lbs and i ski aggressively. please let me know what you think if youve ridden either of these skis. im sure some other people are wondering the same thing.

Neither ski will be stable at high speeds, their turing radius is to short. The Alphas aren't very stiff, they have a medium flex, so you wont feel over powered. They also have a race base so I would go with those.

No park ski is going to feel particularly stable at high speeds but obviously a stiffer one will feel more stable than a softer one. I love my halos, awesome in the park and as long as you can ski then they can be skied fast over the whole mountain. They also float well in a few inches of powder too.

Im on the alphas and love them, super stable as speed and great fun in the slush. 95 under foot is perfect as well if you ant to ski a bit of pow or the slush. I demoed the halos first and found the tails way too soft, unless you're prime at stomping switch you wash out quite easily on them if youre a bit too back seat. That being said they are a super fun ski.

If you want a soft ski go with the halo, if you want a med/stiffer ski go with the alpha.

had the halos and alpha there the same ski.. alphas area bit faster and hold wax better, both a to narrow for me wash out when you land on that east coast ice, turning radius is hugggggge like 400 feet you really have to wash the tail allot if you want to dig em hard and turn them, i come from a racing back ground so i i know how a ski should grip and turn, they just don't. light as fuck the spin like a top you can't feel them on your feet, i prefer a normal cambered ski with slight early rise, and some what wide. in short all mtn sucks, rails are ok, jumps spin good wash out bad
