MousseauI think more context is needed... with that being said, I'm not sure how stoked I'd be if a volunteer tried to confiscate my equipment.
Link.Fucking hamburglars.
~~~~~~~~I had a guy try to take my skis once, I told him "you can't just take me skis" and he gave them right back.
Then he called the state police.
snoopzillaJust curious, for what?
c4t_l0verOn the first day the new park was open, safety bob took like 15 passes or something.
blindsideSafety Bob takes his safety pretty seriously.
iJibThey are also starting to delete posts off there social media, it looks like they are going to pretend it never happened.
Let's not let that happen.
DeebieSkeebiesseeing as they aren't cops, I'd tell them to get fucked and Id go home. if he was
riding like an ass, a pass being taken should be enough. Definitely overstepping their boundaries
VAPEOREONall they do is yell and try to take passes. go through that section super fast and spray them.
skiforce1what the guy whose board was stolen said to make all this happen.
"yeah I was just doing a few buttering tricks on the run toward the terrain garden when there's NOBODY around on the run, and I got stopped and was told that no tricks on the green run."
tomPietrowskiActually that does look like solar not green, but Im still going to guess its mainly on the guy not saftey.
c4t_l0verIt is solar, the park goes all the way down to the bottom of solar for the spring.
OGoriginal-gaperlol why didn't he run there volunteers there not going to chase after him and why would they take it so serious he must of done something pretty stupid
tigerrstyleKeep in mind this isn't the USA. It's Canada. Different set of laws
Don.CartagenaThose two same safety cunts took my skis and banned my pass for a month last season. His name is Bob. He's a fucking cunt.
They take your stuff to force you to come into their office and identify you,
SKI.INGHonestly I would just keep skiing and pack up for the day and head home. No way I would let some volunteers take my setup that's worth X amount of dollars. No matter what the guy did that just doesn't make sense and they only get power when you give it to them.
c4t_l0verThat wouldn't work, they'd radio down to the other people lower on the ski out and they'd get you and pull your pass.
VinnieFCan someone with a Whistler pass on hand see if it says anything at all along the lines of 'if you are in violation of any mountain rules we reserve the right to confiscate your equipment until you leave the property'?
If there's nothing about that at all then what they're doing is pretty much theft.
Someone look into this, make sure it actually would be theft, bring the fuzzy handcuffs you have in your closet, ski really fast by them till they go to confiscate your gear, then have a couple other people come help out and make a citizens arrest on them for theft (this is legal, if they are indeed in the act of stealing your shit). Then call the cops and get them charged with theft.
PuzzledHow? Why in hell would you let him touch you?
c4t_l0verif it was an easy thing to do, it would have been done. they will follow you to the blackomb base or the village probably and when your taking off your gear theyll get you.
PuzzledThey will get you and what? what can they legally do? How could he take anything without physically "attacking" you? Absolutely no one, except a police officer, will lay hands on my gear without my permission.
PuzzledI'm asking you to enlighten me, I'm not arguing. I can't grasp anything you've said thus far.
stickskiGrowing up skiing alta, I just can't fathom a bunch of safety patrollers clipping people for going too fast or doing tricks or something haha.
