If you guys could critique the editing and skiing. It would be cool. Filmed with a Canon T2i, Nikon D3100, and Panasonic TM-41. Edited with Adobe Premier. Any thing helps and +k for responses. A +1 would be cool too.https://www.newschoolers.com/watch/710467.0/Matt-Newton-13-14
the biggest thing that i noticed was that there was a TON of ghosting. you said that you filmed it with a few different cameras, where they all recording the same aspect ratio and framerate? if they weren't, and you tried to render the project as another framerate that could account for a lot of the ghosting.
for example: you recorded on the t2i 1280 x 720 at 59.94 fps, then used the Nikon at 1920 x 1080 at 24 fps, then used the panasonic at 1920 x 1080 at 30 fps.then you created your edit and tried to render your edit as 1280x 720 at 59.94, then everything that was not 720p and 59.94 fps would have to generate some extra frames to come up to the 59.94 framerate. this would create all the ghosting
hopefully that makes sense, not a lot you can do to fix it now, but definately something to keep in mind next year when you are filming. could attempt to re render the project at a lower framerate though, it might help a bit
hopefully that helps. i liked the skiing, just kept getting distracted by the ghosting
Solid riding for sure! Except he could loosen up a bit like the other dude said.. Anyway the different composition sizes really bugged me. Using three different cameras, you really have to watch how big your footage is in the entire composition instead of it causing different sized "black bars" on the sides. I also would think B-roll would be great for this edit just to keep your viewer interested!
